How would someone with no political experience get involved in becoming a politician.?

I am considering becoming involved in my government which is movitated by a desire to do some good. But I haven't a clue as to what is the most expedite and/or effective course of action.

Do some good? That's funny.

Seriously, start out locally, school board or parks and rec board for example. If that doesn't turn you off, people will know you and you can try the next level. Go to local board meetings to see if you like it before you run for anything, that will also get you known.

I would suggest you try to work with the political party you are interested being a part of mailing things for the congressman from your district and hanging out doing what ever there is they need you to do and let them know your interested in Political office then try running for a political office locally keep running until people know who you are and then try for a county
office and a state office get your name known in the political circle. Then hope you get some support from someone who is known and willing to help you. Hope this helps Don't get frustrated and keep going you will finally get into and office then you will be on your way.

Does your local college have any classes in Political Science? Maybe try that, if they do.

To just do some good, there are plenty of volunteer organizations that need help, especially around Christmas time.

Politics, unfortunately, are about making money anymore.
