An aquaintance of mine said the CPS threw a case out because the person who was accusing him of a very serious offence gave the police six different versions of what happened. I thought this information would be confidential and the words "not enough evidence" would be given on both sides.

This is not a hypothetical question.....lets be real here....no one knows who you are. You can admit it. I mean really the guy has no creativity...he is not a problem solver.he has no critical thinking skills..he is stuborn.....he relies on a guy knicknamed "turdblossom" to make his decisions.....He has made a lot of really really bad decisions. Lets get it all out and we can all feel better about this...admit it...no one will hold it against you!!!! HE IS NOT THE SHARPEST TOOL IN THE SHED! I mean what was that "Mission Accomplished" thing all about on the Aircraft carrier? Basically the whole world "outside of the red states" thinks he is a real idiot!!!

loteria nacional from spain claims I won $85,000. Enclosed check from business"sponsor" to help defray costs of taxes. Would deliver money to door, without any account info necessary. If this is a scam, we should set them up to deliver prizes and have police waiting for them. I wouldn't let anyone give me that much money without someone with me anyway. What if this is legit? If it isn't then we get together to catch the creeps. I say is it okay to cash the very legal check to help "catch a thief"? Please reply asap I only have 24 hours from today to respond ......thanks

My current flatmate has announced she is moving out and is going to move back in with her mother. She says the reason for this is that she has to otherwise her mum stands to lose loads of money and that it is all to do with her Dad's will. Some of my friends think that this is rubbish but I don't know what to believe. Is there any legal reason for her having to do this? Or is she just leaving me in the lurch like this because she is selfish?

There is a good chance that Nancy Pelosi will be the next Speaker of the House. This means she will be third in line to take the seat of the Presidency if something were to happen to our President and Vice-President. She will literally be two heartbeats away from being our President.

Her values...

Nancy Pelosi believes in entitlements for the poor paid by high taxes. She plans on raising taxes, all taxes not simply overturning the Bush tax cuts, which, by the way, will cost MiddleClass Americans $2,000 a year. That is only the beginning.

Nancy Pelosi has a strong anti-military attitude. She has voted against every piece of legislation brought before the House to better equipt our men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

What measures should take the ""Church"" agains the pedophile priests? I would suggest the obligation to wear in every situation the red collar (not white anymore, but red). I preffer a mark, because this also has the meaning of protection from the executioner, but anyway, a mark which subdues him. The red collar will remember to the people and himself too, the cruel gesture that he has commited. I also propose to the Vatican to expose on the official site, the complete list of the pedophile priests which have already been condemned by the law.
What do you suggest?

A mother is at home on halloween night, with her 4 children, they are having a quite night in... Her children are young... (9, 7,5,3), a knock on the door, the mother opens it to a guy dress in black his face in shadow, he points a shot gun at her and says "Give me, your money!" the mother slowly pulls out her cell phone and calls the cops, the guy say "Put the F**king phone down or I'll blow your head off" the mother continues to call the cops and gets through, she reports what is going on, and the guy runs off... After 45 minutes the cops come and she reports the scary incident... After a while, it turns out that, it was a Halloween prank done by a 14 year old kid, who had a toy gun and did it for a joke... Now Because of his age, the police can't do anything about it... And now the mother and her kids are afraid... The kid won't even come and say sorry... Surely a punishment should be given to this kid... After what he did to this innocent family... What's your opinion on this...

Today I read that a neo Nazi group attempted a march, but failed because only 70 people showed up. The article didn't talk about a police intervention. I'm confused. I thought Germany has laws against Nazism. Am I mistaken? Is Nazism legal in Germany?

Can you believe I just got a volation notice for posting a YouTube link to the closing credits of a kiddies TV show called Stingray? It's a TV show - for children - with puppets - If I'd posted the link to Muffin the Mule it would prolly have gone "whoosh" over the Gestapo's head like a hybrid Scud/Exocet.
New rules:
You may not say anything that can be construed as offensive, unless you have a constitutional right so to do. Ergo, You can say "I am black/gay/HIV pos/whatever, and proud of it", but may not accuse anyone else of these conditions.
Any swearing must be done in english, as opposed to american - therefore a bum is a bum, not an equine-like beast of burden or a tramp.
No reference may be made to George dubya Bush's IQ as there are innocent youngsters on this site who have not yet grasped the concept of irrational numbers - they'll ask questions about why an average German Shepherd Dog is smarter than the alleged leader of the alleged free world.

Need advice but cannot afford a lawyer.

This company's contract of employment goes this way. You join them, u sign a contract and u r bonded to them for 2 years. Why? Because they promised to give u training in the first 10 months.

If u leave within the 10 months, u have to pay back ALL the salary they have paid u so far and some other amount of $$. after then 10 months, but not exceeding 2 years, for every month u don't serve them, u r required to pay them $4000 while your monthly salary is only less than $3000. If they fire u within 2 years, u have to pay too.

In the contract, the employee is specified as an employee, with contribution made by company to the employee social security fund and pension fund. The payment made monthly to the employee is specified SALARY.

It is also specified that the amount owed if one leaves b4 2 years is "expense expended on" the employee.

Is such a contract legal?

"This is also the reason why Iran is so brave in daring the US to attack it on the nuclear proliferation issue. Iran knows that it has the power to hurt the US. Without oil from the Gulf, the war machines of the US and its principal allies will literally run out of gas.

A single blow from Iran or China or Russia, or a combination of the three at the Strait of Hormuz can paralyze America. In addition, Chinese and Russian submarines can stop the flow of oil to the US and Japan by interdicting oil tanker traffic coming from the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. On the other hand, US naval supremacy will have minimal effect on China's oil supply because it is already connected to Kazakhstan with a pipeline and will soon be connected to Russia and Iran as well."

Only for those with the needed attention-span.

Could that be _you_ ?

Do you take care or you don't give a s... about what the rest of world think of the US in general
I'm french and i really want to know what 's your opinion or your feeling concerning the image your country show to the world..
From outside US, USA (not usa but your politicians) show an arrogant country, proud of himself, contained on its own country (Kyoto agreements, war in Iraq, US policy in European east countries)
May be my question is stupid but i'd like to know what US people feel
