Can you believe I just got a volation notice for posting a YouTube link to the closing credits of a kiddies TV show called Stingray? It's a TV show - for children - with puppets - If I'd posted the link to Muffin the Mule it would prolly have gone "whoosh" over the Gestapo's head like a hybrid Scud/Exocet.
New rules:
You may not say anything that can be construed as offensive, unless you have a constitutional right so to do. Ergo, You can say "I am black/gay/HIV pos/whatever, and proud of it", but may not accuse anyone else of these conditions.
Any swearing must be done in english, as opposed to american - therefore a bum is a bum, not an equine-like beast of burden or a tramp.
No reference may be made to George dubya Bush's IQ as there are innocent youngsters on this site who have not yet grasped the concept of irrational numbers - they'll ask questions about why an average German Shepherd Dog is smarter than the alleged leader of the alleged free world.

jacg - they already know who I am. I've invited them to send over GWB for a philosophical discussion with my Dog, Boo. Yes, I really do have a dog named Boo. He normally refuses to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent, but in this case he'll make an exception. Yup, you guessed - he's a German Shepherd.

Yeeehah for the American way! It's only free speech if they say it is. OK? Other than that, you must be content with the illusion of free speech and make sure they don't realise who you are through your ISP. Have you ever watched Spooks?

What did I do wrong, use a brand name or something? What sort of jerk would complain about that in the first place.

For any Americans out there the programme Spooks Jacg referred to is known a MI5 to you guys. Just thought I'd let you know! It's about the only show I saw in Canada that the UK was ahead in!

got a violation for asking a question not phrased as a question. which looking at yours ,you probably will too. it does seem political correctness is affecting this site and the free world in general. it will only get worse until big brother really is watching you.

Y!A is not a government entity and can make it's own rules. Freedom of speech does not apply here.

Is there an alternative to this site................ should we be moving to it? ..................... if we all move perhaps some sanity would return!...........................ALSO, I put a question on the site on a Friday, got 50 replies, chose the best answer on Monday......THEN on Tuesday (after it was all over) the question was removed for a violation........ what was the point in that?????
