Amsterdam -- Immigration Minister Rita Verdonk is in favour of imposing a ban on the wearing of a burka in public spaces.

Guess those burkas are causing a real hazard in Amsterdam.

Please tell me some of you don't. I'm reading through some of these question and they are just stupid. There are idiotic questions from both the right and the left that make the most complex of issues sound like you are planning a high school fundraiser. It absolutely scares the hell out of me that some of you may decide a close election. Should we close mexican resteraunts? Why is Busha Nazi? How about asking intellegent questions and opening up for debate as opposed to assuming that another party can have no good ideas or intentions. Forget republican and democratic politions, morons are what is wrong with this country. People who think there is one side of an issue and shut down the idea that people can have other opinions. You guys should download Jon Stewart's appearance on Crossfire. realize he is talking about many of you. Go ahead and tee off on me. Oh, and I apologize ahead of time for any grammatical errors. I wrote this in a hurry.

Why was no one found guilty of this. Did this have anyting to do with the anthrax being a U.S gov't strain, which is a fact? Was this a deadly scare tactic to the media and congressmen?

My ex and I divorced 3 yrs ago. We have joint custody. Child support is the first check I write every week. I get the kids every other weekend. I work at night so having them during the week was not set up. I now am going to be getting a promotion and will be working day shift and would like to have the time split. one week with me, one week with her. She is making a big scene about this. My little girl is 8 and she wants to spend more time with me and do the weekly deal. My son is 14 and when I asked his thoughts he said he wanted to spend more time with me, but was worried if his mom was doing something the week he would be with me and he wanted to go with her( his mom is friends with his "girlfriends" mom, and they go visit or eat over sometimes). She is getting ugly with me constantly bringing up past problems what I dont understand is she has remarried. Thought she would have let go. So do you think a judge (or intake officer) will grant me more time with them?

Anyone out there think that Rush Limbaugh should be banned from the radio? I know he's allowed to express his opinions, but he is so biased against blacks, gays and handicapped people. And yet, he is a bloated, drug addicted, alcoholic, asshole so he has no room to critize anyone until he cleans up his act. Any responses?

The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem. This is a quote by someone brilliant. Do you agree? Could trying a little harder to be tolerant of our obvious political differences bring us to the point of intelligent debate? I think yes. Peace to you from frogspeaceflower.

I'm crushed to hear that after years of mindless loyalty to the Republicans, and all things $$$, Alex has switched sides! How can the Republicans be so awful to lose & attack everyone's favorite Republican?

And are Elise and Steven finally proud?

My dad is acquainted with a Danish man who wants to send his daughter to study at a university in the U.S. He is looking to find someone who would sponsor her to come, and asked my father to help find a sponsor. We might consider doing it ourselves but don't know too much about the process. What exactly is a sponsor supposed to do? What are the responsibilities? What are the risks? Which organizations provide information about this? and so forth.

(By the way, the girl has her own money and would live near the university which is about 50 miles from my home, so I'm not talking about a foreign-exchange student living in our home. I'm simply talking about sponsoring her as an immigrant.)

Berlin -- Germany's president Horst Koehler has appealed to Muslims in the country to feel like Germans, not immigrants.

In a message to mark the feast of Eid al-Fitr, which ends the fasting month of Ramadan next Monday, Koehler said, 'Muslim life is part of German normalcy.' He said change was already under way with young people perceiving themselves less as having foreign origins

Britain's 'open door' policy for workers from the 10 new European Union member states has provoked a backlash, an opinion poll for the Financial Times suggests on Friday.

Some 76 per cent of Britons said there were too many immigrants in their country, in a survey conducted by Harris Interactive - the highest proportion of any big western European country included in the poll.

I have six months left in the Navy to close out twenty years of service and I am greviously disenchanted with my command and just want to walk out the door. My command is trying to bully me into having a retirement ceremony. Is there any regulation that forces me to do this or am I just being strong-armed?
