For example, I am hoping to move to the Washington State from Canada, but was kinda discouraged about not be able to work right away if thats an issue I dont know..I would need a job. Do you have to become an american citizen, the period of citizenship required over time - official document - before you can work and get paid?Or if i am guessing I would say it anyone can start right away with healthcare, work, housing once you you arrive? Another question is who do you talk, the Government?

My husband and I were traveling on a business trip, flying out of Baltimore airport. We were going through security, all our shoes and belongings had passed through without a problem. The female security person went to my husbands pile of stuff and pulled out the money clip, made of fossil dinosaur bone and was engraved, and pulled the money out of it and said, this could be a weapon and threw it in a locked box on the wall. It cost me almost 150 dollars and was a christmas gift. They told us there was nothing we could do about it, except claim for charges. Are some of these people out of control or what? Have any of you had a similar problem?

Because we are the worlds police. And our so called allies dont help the problem. Our allies let us take the blame for protecting everyone, by letting us go in alone. They wanted to help but didnt want to get their hands dirty. For the next few years lets spend our money on star wars so we can develop the best defense in the world. Then contract the defense system to protect our allies. So we can for once bleed them insteed of them leeching off of us. Then we could pay back the deficit. In the mean time we can let China deal with N Korea and their testing their short range missles. Wait for China to ask for our help so we dont get our hands dirty again. With Iraq we need to do what everyone else did. How bout the oil for rebuilding project. You trade me oil, I'll give you lumber, nails, private police, and a stable governtment.

I'll give you a hint, it's not because the liberals blah blah blah, and it's not because the conservatives blah blah blah. If you're asked why our country has so many problems, and the first thing that pops into your head is that it's the other team's fault, you need to put on the pointy hat and sit in the corner until you're ready to rejoin society. And if you're going to answer that it's the gays or the immigrants, just stop and think that if there's some way to contact the mothership, or if there's some ritual you can perform, go ahead and do it, and get back to your home planet/dimension.

I know this is a pretty stupid question, but if we can get just a couple halfway intelligent answers, by the time I get around to picking the "best" one, then maybe I'll be able to decide what my next question will be, a) so, how do we fix it? or b) what's the fastest way to kill myself?

My husbands ex wife is using my husbands criminal history from almost 20 years ago against him. They share other children together and everytime he goes to court for visitation she uses his past history. So he does't get to see his other children. Child Protective Services is very familiar with her, because she always calls them and makes complaints and alligations against him. His criminal past deals with a sexual charge, in which at the time he was about 19 years old, his girlfriend was about 16, the parents didn't like him and pressed charges, he was scared and took a plea bargain. He served his time of a few years, and was released. He is not on Megans Law or any law of that sort. But his ex keeps using his past in every court case that they have. What do we do?

When it comes to illegal immigrants. Would you support these two options to be given to them.
1.) If an illegal immigrant is caught, they may choice to be deported home.
OR
2.) If an illegal immigrant is caught, they can join the draft and be granted partial citizenship for them and their family. (green card)

I think it's a good idea. If the illegal immigrant is going to live under our laws and social contract. They should follow the law and be willing to give their lives just as legal citizens do.

i believe pro choice for the people that have been raped or something where it was not their choice to have sex.
but i am fully against it for the stupid teenagers that just want to be cool, and have sex with everyone.
or anyone else for that matter that just don't think they should deserve to give up a life they have created. live with ur mistakes everyone else does.

Great Britain uses a parliamentary system as opposed to the US representative democracy. Which one do you think works best? Would the US be better off with the threat of 'votes of confidence' to keep the majority party in check? Would Britain be better off without them? What are the strengths that make one better than the other?

What do you think of this, Any one who wishes to become a us citizen should have to serve in the military for a min of 6 yrs, Learn to speak English and be discharged honorably. Now they come out of the military fluent in English, Have learned a trade, Pays into Social security, Can work here legally, pay’s taxes, and they still maintain their hardedge. Keep in mind do to security of the us the only jobs they could do in there first enlistment, would be infantry, and construction. This only stands for the first enlistment after that there U.S. citizens and can do what ever there asvab score allows them to.
