The right answer - Nothing. The elections go on as usual.
The other right answer - The President declares himself president for life, and jails and tortures anyone who would disagree with him.

Same as always. There were elections in 1864, 1944, 1952,1964 when there were wars going on. Sometimes the same man gets re-elected, sometimes not. The new president just takes over where the former president left off. Same as when a president dies in office; the VP takes over the Oval Office.
Business as usual.

Elections run as normal,..
But some canadit goes " I'm gonna Kill them ALL... BUHAHAHAHA!" and maybe " I am a WAR PRESIDENT,.. I am PERFECT,.. you won't regret it" then people vote for them that are young or not penny pinching and not trapped at home,... and they end up elected and then by the end of their term people go " Now, why the hell did we elect that Idiot? He didn't do squat but get us into debt,.. Oh Ya,.. -list a dozen people- died last week."
Be Kind,.. Vote FOR THIS COUNTRY the next couple elections,.. before someone/somecountry we are borrowing money from owns us offically.

Depends on what country your talking about. In America we show up on tuesday to vote and after the vote is counted its done. In other countrys, all bets are off. During time of war the election can be canceled, rigged, or the leader can declare himself to be dictator for life or what ever. Just depends on who is at war with who and who is in power and who has the guns.
