We are not "technically" at war with anyone right now. Unless that changes before the elections, then there will be no change in the current course of events. We are still participating in "Operation Iraqi Freedom" and are maintaining a presence in the Middle East.... why at this point is anyone's guess.

Yes the election is only a couple weeks from now. War is not a short term sit-com effort. We will also be at war for the next election and the next. The Islamic radicals have declared a jihad, a war, on us. Whether we choose to fight for our values (if you have any worth fighting for) or play dead and roll over everyone becoming Muslim is the choice we have. Then second choice is whether to fight the big battles in Iraq or in out cities.

Someone new? This is not a presidential election. Besides which someone new will have to answer those same two choices. How do you want them answered? Do you want false promises or truths? Do you want worthless treaties with people who have shown they will not keep to what they say?

Right now the enemy has stepped up attacks trying to influence our elections just like they did in Spain. We are making progress and will win unless we quit.

The election will happen no matter what. There are way too many laws in place that would have to be altered in order to delay an election. There would be an uproar anyway, because the main thing that gives the people a voice in democracy is our right to vote for elected officials.

I figure if we could hold elections in 1864, 1916, 1944, 1952, 1964, and 1968, there would be very little to justify not holding them now.

I think there would have to be a special session and a special law would have to pass to postpone the election. Read the Constitution.
