Berlin -- Germany's president Horst Koehler has appealed to Muslims in the country to feel like Germans, not immigrants.

In a message to mark the feast of Eid al-Fitr, which ends the fasting month of Ramadan next Monday, Koehler said, 'Muslim life is part of German normalcy.' He said change was already under way with young people perceiving themselves less as having foreign origins

Identity is always going to be problem in a "multicultural" society. If the question is a personal concern of yours, a lot of the answer would have to do with how much you identify with your peers.

Do Germans feel German? Not necessarily. I'm from the US but I don't feel like an "American". Some good topics to look up are anglo-conformity (relates to article: minority should conform to majority), melting pot theory (all cultures contribute their best features for formation of new society), cultural pluralism/salad bowl theory (many cultures exist, but retain differences), and the aforementioned multiculturalism.

Germans as another travelers are welcomed in Israel. As for why Germans decide upon to journey to Israel - I wager it's query to German humans who decide upon to journey to Israel. I used to be in Germany and as an Israeli I felt that for lots of Germans the Holocaust and German participation in this can be a huge drawback, so I wager journeying to Israel is aspect of dealing at the private stage with countrywide drawback. But that pertains to the ones Germans for whom that might preserve actual. I wager there are plenty of the ones. Comment to Smartgirl. German colony in Jerusalem of at present has not anything to do with Germans. In reality it's populated most of the time through religeous american Jews. It is beautiful succeed in and posh field.

In America the White Americans tell foreigners to act like an American so as to have a way of mutual understanding and eliminate miscommunication. However, religious people feel that their religion if it is different from the mainstream will feel that they are persecuted due to their religion. Religious persecution applies to the world. Some people are reluctant to forget their way of life from the country they came from.

A Muslim Sheik suggested that women who do not dress in the hijab deserved to be raped

If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside on the street, or in the garden or in the park, or in the backyard without a cover, and the cats come and eat it...whose fault is it, the cats or the uncovered meat," the sheik told the congregation.

If this is how Muslims are treating people who aren't their own, then they can just shove off, I'm disgusted

"The uncovered meat is the problem.

"If she was in her room, in her home, in her hijab (Islamic headdress), no problem would have occurred."
