A Pentagon project to modify its deadliest nuclear ICBM for use as a conventional weapon against targets such as North Korea and Iran could spark an atomic war, says Russian President Vladimir Putin

Putin warned that the project would increase the danger of accidental nuclear war.

Putin said-
"The media and expert circles are already discussing plans to use intercontinental ballistic missiles to carry nonnuclear warheads, The launch of such a missile could provoke a full-scale counterattack using strategic nuclear forces."

Accidental nuclear war is not so far-fetched. In 1995, Russia initially interpreted the launch of a Norwegian scientific rocket as the onset of a U.S. nuclear attack. President Boris Yeltsin activated his "nuclear briefcase" in preparation to launch a retaliatory strike before the mistake was discovered.

If the coldwar is over, why is Russia still afraid of a U.S firststrike

I read the column by John Florez (Feb. 7) about the Mexican consul and the immigration problem. First of all, the Mexican government needs to take measures to stop the flow of illegal aliens. Second, illegal aliens have no rights inside the United States. Why should American taxpayers pay for people invading their country? American civil rights do not apply to foreign invaders.
If Mexicans think that their lives are so horrible, then why don't they kick President Vicente Fox out of office? Gov. Jon Huntsman should be doing everything he can to deport all illegal aliens who are currently sucking away at the Utah and American economy. If Mexicans don't like it in America, then they should go back to Mexico and stop trying to change America into Mexico.

I can't recall the name of the college - if I'd take a guess i'd say it was in Colorado somewhere. Anyway, the Minutemen were talking when these college kids started screaming and ran on stage and acted plum nuts with such signs as "no one is illegal"

Do you think it says a lot about the college? or is it just a minority?

It's getting to be crunch time and we've vented our frustrations but now that election day is coming, shouldn't we make sure we get out and vote so that the LEFT doesn't take over our government?

In the letter, my friend's mother specified that they will be supporting me while im there. the letter is notarized too. It seems there is always some excuse to raise gasoline prices. How much do you think gas per gallon will go up if North Koreas runs their nuke test which will fail and probably spill nuclear waste all over the place?

i just went to civil court for a 765$ credit card i havent paid. they say i owe 1500+$ now. It seems to me to be excessive. the judge asked me today admit or deny. I asked him if i admitted would it lead to a default. He stated thats legal adivce and he cannot tell me. So i chose to deny. WHat steps do i take now? He said a court date will be set for trial if we cannot come to a deal. I believe its past SOL. June 03' is the latest payment or credit to the oaccount. this is very questionable seeing as i stopped paying b4 that i believe. should i submit a letter to asset acceptance llc(people suing me) a leter to validate? i dunno where these excessive fees are comign from and the SOL is questionable. or can lette rto validate only be sent to collection compannes and not lawyers who are now suing me representing citi bank? i have researched tons!!! and need just alittle more gas to keep going.

Please and Thank You!

Talking about illegal immigrants as a whole, from every country from here to New Zealand - letting them come in here and welcoming them with open arms without having to go through the proper paperwork and screening them - What good do you see that doing for OUR country?

Despite the obvious hypocrisy here (the school being paid for by American taxpayers), one of the mexican (or mexican-american) students said something about he was proud of being mexican and that's why he did it.

huh.

if you're proud of your country, why aren't you in mexico again?
