since the government has a problem with wasting our money, i was wondering if others see ways to cut spending. Example:
Child's ADD meds are controlled and by law prescription must be obtained from doctor every month.
State insurance money could be saved if a med nurse were allowed to do vitals and distribute prescriptions - for monitoring-most of the time you don't need the doctor unless something changes .
Another is Social Security- I don't think politicians should be exempt from paying in
What is your opinion? and where is the best place to offer suggestions to the government?

Im confused, which one is it today?
"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
--Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
--Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

These are just a few quotes that I have. Why cant you make up your mind?

I AM WHITE! I am ashamed of what my ancestors did to the Native Americans who lived here thousands of years before we came here only a few hundred years ago - mostly as ILLEGAL immingrants I would like to add! Do you think the Pilgrims whom we CELEBRATE at Thanksgiving had Visa's? Why do I continually hear white people say this is OUR COUNTRY? We hearded up the Native Americans like cattle and forced them to walk the Trail of Tears (anybody remember that?) where most of them DIED or wished they had as they were confined to reservations (is that so different from a concentration camp?) where THEY STILL LIVE TODAY?

WHY DO WHITE PEOPLE THINK THIS IS THEIR COUNTRY?!?!

Why do you feel that you now have the right to exclude anyone who comes with the same dream your ancestors did - to make a better life for their family?

been written to fund the war in Iraq, much of which has gone to government contractors responsible for rebuilding the nation we destroyed.
This is the opening sentence of an article I located online.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rep-hilda-l-solis/war-profiteering-our-ta_b_30503.html

So let me ask you this.. But think first, 300 BILLION in TAXPAYER money.

So why all the whining about illegal immigrants not paying their ER bills. (which I am not saying is even a fact)

Iraq is being rebuilt with OUR money.

I guess nobody has a complaint about that, right.

Please share your opinion.

Rich kids get extra points toward college admission if a parent or relative went to the college, and more points if their parents contributed. This is how George W. Bush got into Yale. How is this different from saving some spots for economically disadvantaged students, (capable of doing the work of course)?

For years they talked about Saddam being a threat and possibly taking action. But alas, the do nothing party never took action. Was it only a set up to trick the next President into going to war so they could all whine about something?

The Democrattic Plan: First Things First...
1) Secure our borders then devise a plan to give some of the illegals citizenship based on length of stay, commitment , learning the language and other variables...

2) War in Iraq--Not Cut and Run... and Not stay the course....Phase troops out based on private timeline known only to CENTCOM and redistribute 50% of those withdrawals to Afghanistan and find the real terrorist that attacked us...

3) Oil Independence- The President of the Free world needs to declare within 10 years we will be independant from foreign oil...(president Kennedy said in 10 years we will go to the moon and we did) ..surely we use alternantive energy to make ourselves indepdant from Arab oil...We have the greatest scientists in the world....

4) Use war only when necessary: Both parties have drug our country into needless wars, Dems with Vietnam and Republicans with Iraq...

A financial aid reimbursment check was mailed to my daughter 17 at the time. the check was for $778. But $500 of that money was not suppossed to go to my daughter. The 500 was from a free class that my husband obtained for her because he is a professor at the university. The 500 was not supposed to be turned for cash. So, I signed the check and gave my daughter $400 of the money. She said that what I did was illegal by signing her name. I also signed my name under hers. We returned 500 to the university even though we still gave her exra money. The university in turn made a check out to my husband for the 500. My daughter enlisted the help of her boyfriends uncle who is running for county commisioner who threatened me with criminal prosecution if I did not pay my daugher the full amount of the original check $778, and also I was to sign over the car she was using from my name to hers. I really felt threatened and I did what they said. Isn't that blackmail?

I know this question has been proposed before but I'm from Missouri and our governor has now suggested that teachers in Missouri might be permitted to carry guns. Rural Missouri is a strong gun-advocate area and it scares me to think we might start arming our teachers. I can't see how it can help but I think this is a real possiblity and I find it frightening. I wonder if the focus and attention to the details has contributed to the increase in these incidents. Not that it shouldn't be reported - it's the details that I think are more impacting on potential copy-cats.

Liberals are all about free speech. Burn the flag, defame the President, all in the name of free speech.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

But the second I make a comment such as "I do not think there should be a scholarship only for African-Americans", the first thing I hear from the liberal corner is

"RACIST!!!"

What happened to free speech???
