Good question. You've already got a number of intelligent responses - mostly. I'll just quip a bit sarcastically here - so many bad guys - so little time.

Again we went to war in Iraq because Sadam disregarded the UN Resolution and he was getting more aggressive at shoot at our planes in the no fly zone.President had the majority of the vote so he didnt do it alone..,why didnt the others see the need to deal with N Korea as well.I think China is behind N Koreas actions since I am sure you have noticed they have said nothing about it.We cannot successfully go after N Korea right now alone..,and it seems that if we did..,it would be another reason to blame Bush for something else right?

Because N.Korea has nothing to offer the USA... Iraq is OIL....That's what that whole war is about... They just used this terrorist scene, for an excuse to start the war... Look at it this way...Haliburton was the biggest contributor to Bush's campaign...Donating 400 million.... and Cheney was the CEO for Haliburton.... well you dont give that much money to a campaign unless your gonna get something back.... That's why Haliburton is now the biggest military contractor in this war... their making 25 million a day off this... when it comes down to it, it's all about the money...

Unlike Iraq, North Korea has a super power sponsor that has included it in its strategic sphere of influence (Red China). Invading NK (no matter its bad behavior) would be tantamount to invading East Germany in the Cold War because it developed its own nuclear weapons and started threatening Austria and the US. We are essentially looking at one of the worst of Cold War fears; a minor nation ally of a major power could draw two major powers into a regional war that neither wants.

For one reason, the UN had over a dozen resolutions that went unheeded that called for eventual military action.
Another reason is that Clinton and Albright hadn't given Iraq nuclear capabilities, know-how, and billions of dollars worth of our tax dollars to fund their bomb program like he did with North Korea.

oil would be one reason, and the political climate at the time was another, and look who is in office for another. Bin laden was laughing in disbelief as we took out sadaam, a person who was in no way friends with binladen or anything he beleived in. Or maybe bush promised bin laden to go easy on him, and take out sadaam for him, if you are one of those conspiracy buffs.
