huh.

if you're proud of your country, why aren't you in mexico again?

The US flag is the US flag, you don't take it down to raise up another country's.

I'm fine with flying both, but the US flag stays. always.

They should NOT be able to get away with that. GO HOME if you need to fly a Mexican flag.
I hope they were made to take the flag down OT at least put the American Flag above it.

We have a Canadian down the block who flies both flags. He puts his American flag on top and no one minds.

I think all flags do is divide people. tell everyone they belong to a group. With that ,every group wants to think its better than another. and quickly looks for reasons. Where a person is born and what they look like is not a choice, so why do people act like they where smart enough to be born in their country?
stop seeing things from a race perspective and start seeing peoples character, its the only thing they actually had a part in.

I do not think changing flags is right, it only creates more division. People have different reasons for leaving their country of birth, maybe that person was even born in America. Why are Americans so scared of different cultures coming in and mixing the pot and yet feel its their duty to go to other countries and change their government?
the school is being payed for by all citizens of America including those coming from another country.

You can be proud of your roots and proud to be American both.

It is the best parts of Mexico or Italy in my case being held on to.

There are things many Americans lack such as family and church orientation and modesty and anti-materialism that is solidity, well grounded in your roots orientation.

Strength in you, your church, your people, your family and your country of birth makes sense especially if you accentuate the positive traits of Mexico, Italy, etc. to the maximum.

I have never forgotten the Florence Italy of my childhood and all the positivesI could get out of a pretty short time there.

I try to stay true to myself and my roots and my moorings in religion, family, etc.

Do not disrespect America of course, I know and respect soldiers as my Dad was in World War II also. I am proud of America and to be American, we are a great and a strong country with so much to offer.

This is about respect for nations and origins. countries of birth and native countries and becoming Americans and the best America that America can be. That is America drawing from the strength of the melting pot of people and all they have to offer to the "Land of the free and the home of the brave."

Take care.

As a proud Veteran and Hispanic of the Great State of New Mexico. My feeling is if any other than U.S. citizen raises any flag other than a U.S. flag in this country, it should be grounds for extradition of this individual back to there country so they can wave there flag there. Embassy's should be the only place to raise a foreign flag.

I am fine with them flying BOTH flags, but the American Flag should fly first and foremost at all public schools paid for with American Tax Dollars.

I didn't hear about it, but, so what?
The Mexican flag comes down and the US flag gets put back up again.
He proud of his heritage, aren't you?
Unless you're an American Indian, you didn't come from here either.
I'm mostly Dutch and German.
I don't go prancing about in wooden shoes saying hiel tulip, but I'm proud of my heritage, too.
So, I guess you are saying, love it or leave it?
May I say, those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it.
Your statements are shallow and thoughtless.

If that's true maybe it wasn't the best idea.

Why do people focus on the little bad samples on others to spread your hate?

It's about being proud of one heritage not about going to Mexico.

He's only a boy. His parents are here so he has to be here too. The reason so many Mexicans talk about Mexican pride is because so many other races try to put them down about there race so they feel they have to defend them selves and where they come from.
