Source: truthdig.com The aircraft carrier Eisenhower, accompanied by the guided-missile cruiser USS Anzio, guided-missile destroyer USS Ramage, guided-missile destroyer USS Mason and the fast-attack submarine USS Newport News, are making their way to the Straits of Hormuz off Iran. The ships will be in place to strike Iran by the end of the month. It may be a bluff. It may be a feint. It may be a simple show of American power.

House Speaker
Dennis Hastert said Tuesday he'll dismiss anyone on his staff found to have covered up concerns about ex-Rep. Mark Foley approaches to former pages.

Hastert said he huddled with his staff members last week and he believes they acted appropriately in handling information on Foley's conduct. But he also issued them a stern warning: "If they did cover something up, then they should not continue to have their jobs."

My SPIN is "If they were under the covers with Foley, then they should not continue to have their jobs."

Considering the unfortunate incident involving the death of Mary Jo Kopechne happened 35 years ago on July 17th, 1969 I'd say stop beating a dead horse....

During the 2000 election the Republicans Dismissed George W. Bush's arrest for DUI on July 6th, 1976 (only 30 years ago) as Ancient History...

Dubya was lucky he was arrested before he drove his car off a bridge and killed someone as well...

But not to be out done Dead Eye Dick Cheney has 2 DUI's ...

The first conviction came in November 1962 (44 years ago). However, he did not learn his lesson. He was again convicted a second time less than a year later in July of 1963.

Thank God he has not sullied the earth for 39 years and counting, and soon we will be rid of Castro as well.

Please read all about his great achievements in the linked article. You can learn all about how many innocent people he murdered, plus great quotes from Che such as:

"I don't need proof to execute a man, I only need proof that it's necessary to execute him!"

Learn all about his cowardly end, when he ordered his men to fight to the death, once they were all dead; he surrendered without firing a shot and begged for his own life. Wow, what a truly great man!

"What an artist dies in me"

Sorry that was Nero, well Che and Nero are pretty much the same.

I especially want to hear from the uneducated or idiotic people who wear clothing adorned with his picture, or have his likeness tattooed to their bodies.
You should be wearing pictures of Mario Terán the man who cleansed the world of Che!

Muerte a la revolución!

“We’re not going to show up as a group and say, ‘Hi, we’re the National Alliance,’” National Alliance spokesman Shawn Walker told Tuscon’s KVOA news before the April 2005 Minutemen border patrol. “But we have members of ours that will participate.”

Though the press has largely ignored it, many of those joining these groups are former (and sometimes current) members of the right-wing militia movement. Neo-Nazi thugs and KKK members also turn out to lend their support.

A bleak picture of the corrosive effects of ethnic diversity has been revealed in research by Harvard University's Robert Putnam, one of the world's most influential political scientists.

His research shows that the more diverse a community is, the less likely its inhabitants are to trust anyone – from their next-door neighbour to the mayor.

This is a contentious finding in the current climate of concern about the benefits of immigration. Professor Putnam told the Financial Times he had delayed publishing his research until he could develop proposals to compensate for the negative effects of diversity, saying it "would have been irresponsible to publish without that".

The core message of the research was that, "in the presence of diversity, we hunker down", he said. "We act like turtles.
