“We’re not going to show up as a group and say, ‘Hi, we’re the National Alliance,’” National Alliance spokesman Shawn Walker told Tuscon’s KVOA news before the April 2005 Minutemen border patrol. “But we have members of ours that will participate.”
Though the press has largely ignored it, many of those joining these groups are former (and sometimes current) members of the right-wing militia movement. Neo-Nazi thugs and KKK members also turn out to lend their support.

DAR - “You get up there with a rifle and start shooting four or five of them a week, the other four or five thousand behind them are going to think twice about crossing that line.”
--A member of the neo-Nazi National Alliance participating in a Minuteman border patrol in Arizona, to the Southern Poverty Law Center Intelligence Report in 2005. Why would the SPLC be so interested in this group? Hmm, remember it was they who fought against the KKK all those years and won, do you think all that experience is just folly and they can't tell a patriot from a supremacist vigilante group... please. Yes, dear that is coffee feel free to take a whiff once in a while.
background check??? get real. These are people's lives that you are commenting on and you are defending hatefilled people who are scapegoating others to embolden thier cause. It is not pro-USA it is more like the Turner Diaries (probably on your nightstand right now) you know the plan is clearly laid out there...

Doesn't surprise me in the least, that they would be Neo Nazis and KKK members, lets face it, these groups have become obsolete and need a fresh group......These people are master manipulators and they will use what ever organization, which to some may be creditable, for there own insidious means....

Obviously you had a bad childhood.
You are very misinformed about the Minutemen and don't know a dang thing about the organization, nor are you a member.
So where did you get ALL this wisdom??? Please show me proof!!!! YOU CAN"T, so shut up!!!
I happen to know for a fact that background checks are done on ALL members. And yes as someone mentioned, background checks can't get all the bad apples, but our SOP (standard operating procedure) is a tool we use to insure compliance with the law.
Anyone not following it will be removed, by police force if necessary. The Minutemen group has worked too hard and too many years to let a few bad people ruin what the group has accomplished to date.
It is ignorant people like you that ARE the problem, bad mouthing groups you know nothing about.

by making use of DAVID RYAN, sign in team author Saturday, September sixteen, 2006 a million:15 AM PDT A Napa resident who has patrolled the California-Mexico border as component to the Minuteman Civil protection Corps gave a communique to a supportive crowd of Republican occasion contributors this week, describing his journey on the frontier and explaining how he grew to grow to be so lively on an argument it particularly is spurring debate around the rustic. John Clark, 37, mentioned whilst he visited the border, he observed "coyotes" smuggling human beings, criminals smuggling drugs or perhaps armed bandits on all-terrain autos who prey on immigrants. He mentioned that with the chaos, U.S. Border Patrol brokers are chuffed to have the Minutemen on the scene. "It feels like the wild west available," he mentioned. "it is loopy." Yeah why are they racists to stop people breaking the law?
I am not racist, but i just think the minutemen are patriotic.
They're legal citizens, unlike the illegal immigrants,
Why support criminal activity?
I'm sure most Hispanics who are trying to cross the border think the Minutemen are racist because they only see themselves (and other hispanics) being repremanded. They don't see any white people being taken in and questioned or deported.
And they don't have a valid argument for coming into our country illegally - - so they play the race card to divert the attention off of the real problem.
This isn't about race though - - it's about our country and security.

How are the Minutemen discriminatory? Last I checked, they were simply trying to keep ALL illegal aliens out of the US. It isn't as if they check IDs (lmao) and say, "OH, you're Mexican, get out... oh, you're Russian, come on in." They are against ALL illegal aliens, which is simply maintaining our EXISTING LAWS.
I'm not sure what is wrong with our existing laws saying that people must enter this country LEGALLY.

I admit to being rather uninformed about the whole 'minute men' thing, but I have an answer to people who say that if illegals are criminals then why don't we treat them the same way:
I'm all for equal treatment between American criminals and illegals. As a law abiding citizen, I couldn't care less if you treat criminals with suspicion. They deserve it, after all. Your claims that criminals should be treated the same way as illegals is completely true and does not faze me. If you want to commit a federal crime and are caught, then you can't expect to be coddled; you could be shot if you are at the scene of the crime and someone is defending themselves from you. And if you aren't caught, then you can expect to go to prison, or for illegals, deported. Why send illegals to our prisons when it would be just as much a drain on our wallets because we have to feed them anyways.

Pathetic, is that all you lefties can do is compare Republicans to Nazi's or the now completely defunct racist *******, the KKK? In fact your very ideals match more closely his teachings.
There is nothing racist about the Minutemen. NOTHING. There is nothing racist about wanting to protect your own country from illegal invaders that are slowly turning this once great nation into an extension of their third world cesspools. And I'm not talking about just Mexico.
That you compare the Minutemen to the KKK shows only that you've and IQ well under 70.

My understanding is that they run a background check precisely to stop that sort of racist participation. Granted that no background check is perfect, how far do you expect a volunteer group to go?
I'm ok with them, so far. Clearly you aren't, but I suspect that is because you are in favor of open borders.

You are correct but you forgot to mention that they are also chickens. If they really want to serve our country they should do so in the Armed Forces. Oh wait a minute, the Armed Forces have zero tolerance for racial discrimination. Simply put, racists aren't allowed.
For all you morons who say they are trying to keep people from breaking the law I have a novel idea. Why don't we put armed Minutemen at every traffic light in order to keep people from running them. After all, running traffic lights is breaking the law.
