It goes beyond comparable drinking & driving incidents. I can't tell you hwo many times I've brought up Republican ethical lapses in general, only to get the rejoinder, 'Yeha? Well, Ted Kennedy is a fat drunk murderer!" They do it because they HAVE no other way to deal with their own failures. And because rightists are petty and they're expert grudge holders, and NEVER let anything go. They keep harping on it and harping on it, as if they can change the past with their constant harping. Mybe if they harp some more, Ted Kennedy will finally be indicted for First Degree Premeditated murder, for what was in actuality an unfortunate accident that they're sick enough to exploit for political purposes.
Liberals don't harp on the guy Laura Bush killed in a crash, when she went through a stop sign. Did you even know this had happened?

Because it's easier to beat a dead horse (Chappaquiddick, Clinton, Kerry, Gore etc.) than to be accountable for CURRENT failures (Iraq, Katrina, trampling Civil Rights and the Constitution, corruption, Abramoff, scandals, Foley etc.)

Because Big Head Ted keeps acting like he is the moral compass of this nation, and he lectures everyone else about "their reprehensible moral behavior." His family fortune is based on criminal activity and no one in that family has ever done an honest day's work. He sits there in the Senate, from a state that does not have enough balls to see him as he is, and lectures about right and wrong. He is lower than pig barf, and he belongs in prison. He covered up her death, and is probably guilty of murder. He's worse than any little sex crime or Watergate that the GOP can ever come up with...

Comparing a drunk driving kid to a man who basically murdered a young girl, because he was too busy covering his own booty to help her (it's said she remained alive in an air bubble for some time while drunk boy ran off to hide) is ridiculous.
It's quite relevant, when this same person still holds a position of power and wields influence over many.

You said it yourself moron..."convicted". Ted "hiccup" Kennedy was NEVER convicted for the murder of Mary Jo Kopechne. And here in America we dont convict people on what might happen.

Apparently it is alright for you commislamic fascists to bring up "there were no WMDs" or the Foley evil but it is not alright for some of your negative history to be brought up. We are just wanting to remind the voters of who they have as candidates!!!! Comprendo?

Because, we have to listen to Democratic blather about morality, while they honor their Senior Senator - the drunken, adulterous murderer Ted Kennedy. That he is an honored Democrat who almost became their presidential candidate speaks volumes about what is accounted as honor and integrity in the Democrat party.

Kind of like still hearing about O.J. isn't it?? It just rubs some people wrong for a criminal to escape punishment because of who he is.
