Pretty much all of our decedents were at one time immigrants. People just want to make a better life for themselves, what is so wrong with that?
And as sad as it is, life wouldn't be the same without them. They do the jobs that provide us with comfort.
By the way, there is no "Official Language" in the US. So no one should be forced to learn any language.

I think all illegals should be sent back until there are equal rights for Americans. Illegals have more right to medical assistance than the average American. If a 30 year old illegal breaks his leg, America will give him a medicaid card to pay for the expense. If an American 30 year old breaks a leg, there is no medicaid program available. I know this information first hand as I was a Medicaid caseworker for 30 years. There are far more inequalities under welfare rights but it would make this response too long. I have nothing against illegal aliens or their right to stay and become citizens but I have something against a country that will not give equal rights to its own citizens. Until the USA has equal policies, I say send the illegals back.

They are taking up room in an already overpopulated area. They are ILLEGAL for a reason. Visiting and enjoying what we have to offer is fine, but this residency thing....ummm, no. There are plenty of Americans that do the same jobs as immigrants do, the only problem with this situation is the fact that these farmers or employers, pay WAY under the minimum wage to these people, and they accept it (these practices are also usually 'under the table' to avoid taxing). Everyone wants to save a buck, and by the people hiring immigrants for less pay, that is the route they chose, albeit a wrong one, which ultimately puts others out of jobs they would have normally had.

It saddens and scares me, the amount of knee-jerk hatred that comes up when these questions are asked. There is tension where I live because of illegal immigrants, but sending them all home is not going to solve all our problems. We kill each other just fine without any help from outside groups. We mess up our own economy without their help too. As for education, some of them speak English better than we do, because they had to work for it - we have only ourselves to blame for a "non grasp" of English.
What angers me the most is how these answerers (most of them) imply that illegal immigrants have no right to be here taking our jobs, using our resources, living in our neighborhoods, etc., as if we have any right to these things at all! We (American citizens of anglo-saxon or European descent) have no more right to this land, these jobs, this water, this street, this school, this hospital, than anyone else. That we live here is an accident of birth, not a sign of moral superiority. And even if "I was here first" was a valid point for debate, the fact is that we were NOT here first...Indians (Native Americans) were. If anyone is an illegal immigrant, WE ARE, just like our own ancestors, who tromped onto the land occupied by Native Americans, stealing and using up what they owned, raping and killing them, and pronouncing the land as "ours," breaking our own treaties, promises, and laws in the process.
I'm not so arrogant as to say that we need illegal immigrants to stay so we'll have someone to scrub our toilets and pick our tomatoes. They don't want to do that any more than the rest of us do. They want to use their skills and educations to have jobs they enjoy and can excel at, so they can support themselves and their families, just like you do. That they were willing to risk their lives, cross through a hellish desert, beg for the right to do hard manual labor, and risk imprisonment every day, should only remind us of how lucky we are to have it so easy, and should humble us enough to live and let live, stay and let stay.

The immigrants have always been an issue, yet you NEVER see american people working hard for thier money. Its almost like they EXPECT everything to be given to them on a silver platter. Immigrants WORK HARD for the little money they can earn, yet they are the problem? Most of the people on disability and social security are AMERICAN. Which means they DONT want to work. Everyone has forgotten what the Statue of LIBERTY was made for,... it was a welcome sign to ALL immigrants, that were trying to find a better life. We ALL deserve a better life. People in Mexico dont have good lifes, they are poor, if we were like that we would be doing the same thing. Anyways, what does it matter if they are LEGAL? or Illegal? Its not thier fault the americans have twisted the law where it makes it almost impossible to become citizens. My heart goes out to the Hard Working Immigrant. Not the lazy immigrants that come to this country to have kids and collect welfare

Like between the adult males pronounced about1.2 million immigrants legally enter the rustic on visas & helps each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, extra beneficial than fantastically lots something of the international locations in the international combine, properly then maximum unlawful Immigrants, approximately 50% in accordance to ICE, overstayed their helps starting to be unlawful the different one million/2 of all ilegal immigrants sneak into our usa not purely the MEX/us of a of us of a additionally CANADA/us of a of us of a and sea ports, the sole thank you to end it somewhat is to REFORM our immigration device. Why some immigrants do not stick to for a enable and in basic terms sneak in, properly thats because of the fact the approach to head into america of us of a is lots to lengthy and costly & from time to time they don't qualify to head into america of us of a. Thats why and amnesty isn't a solution we choose a REFORMATION of our device to take people who won't be in a position to stay in america of us of a for many motives out of right here, and to enable people who overstayed their visas to combine into our device, so they are in a position to all of their taxes not purely those from products and centers. Take France and Spain as an occasion they ended with their unlawful immigrant, situation in in basic terms one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, HOW?? they actually sat down and labored toguether to create a sparkling immigration device, no border around their shorelines exchange into choose it to maintain the Africans aways purely a reform.

If we truly believe in the global economy, and whatever comes with that, then we must also believe in the global movement of labor to places where they can make better wages. By the way, the US does not have the highest wage standards in the world. Why do you think Daimler, Hondo, Hyandai, etc., have factories in the U.S?

What is an illegal immigrant? Oh, you mean illegal ALIENS? They suck.
Why? Not only DO they take jobs that those on welfare should be forced to do, but they are responsible for poor education nationwide, as schools must compensate for their poor education and non grasp of the English language.
Why else? Oh, how about how few to none have insurance, and are a driving force in the closures of hospitals nationwide, that were needed to serve our own poor.
I'm on a roll. How about how they crawl across the border, and open their mouths to dare complain about how they can't read the signs? Or how they DEMAND ANYTHING. They have NO right whatsoever to demand.
F.Y.I. my husband is an IMMIGRANT. As in he came over on airplane, paid the fee's, filled out the paperwork. He has rights.
These criminal law breaker DO NOT.

Actually, legal immigrants and Americans are the majority in every single job category they work.
I am opposed to them because they ignored our immigration limits which were created to keep too many poor immigrants from draining education, health care and other funds. Poor people don't make enough money to pay for services like education for their children, totally apart from food stamp type services. Each one is a cost to the rest of us and degrades schools and health care for our own people by that amount.
You could research this, but if you were willing to do research, I don't think you'd have made the statement you did about jobs.

You Americans must be lucky.
Here in the UK,we must be getting all of the crap. Some may be decent, but a large number of illegals are thieving, violent, scrounging parasites.
If you talk to people(and the police) who live in areas where illegals are housed, you will find that the crime rate has risen.
I live in a small town, since housing was made available for illegals, car theft, assaults and burglary have increased-or maybe that is just a coincidence.
