Dennis Hastert said Tuesday he'll dismiss anyone on his staff found to have covered up concerns about ex-Rep. Mark Foley approaches to former pages.
Hastert said he huddled with his staff members last week and he believes they acted appropriately in handling information on Foley's conduct. But he also issued them a stern warning: "If they did cover something up, then they should not continue to have their jobs."
My SPIN is "If they were under the covers with Foley, then they should not continue to have their jobs."

Have you heard the "news" today? The spin is that the page's e-mails were just a joke. PLEASE!!!!!

I don't need to "spin" any quotes. The media does a very good job of it.
Not recent, but in 1998 MN Governor race, Jesse Ventura was part of a debate with Hubert "Skip" Humphrey and Norm Coleman (the other two candidates). A question was asked about appointing judges. Jesse's response was that he had several friends that were lawyers and judges, and he would ask their opinions and advice on particular candidates. The next day in the newspaper, the response they printed was "I have several friends that are lawyers and judges..." and left it at that. Made it sound as if he would appoint his friends. If that ain't spin, I don't know what is.

Maybe also, if they were under the covers with left wing gays, they should not have their job. That would be considered rooting and probing with the enemy.
