Isnt it weird that we had slavery back in the day and black people had to fight for their freedom now its hispanics that are fighting for their rights and now all you hear is whites and blacks are prejudice and hate? It is an interesting turn of events to me, I guess every couple hundred years its another races turn to yell discrimination!
What do you think about the hispanic people yelling discrimination Now, do you really think its about race?

Eleven House Republicans on Thursday told Democratic leaders they want them to appear before the House Ethics Committee to answer questions about what they may have known -- and failed to disclose -- about former Rep. Mark Foley's communications with congressional pages.

Led by Rep. Jack Kingston (Ga.), vice chairman of the House Republican Conference, the group sent letters to Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.), Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Rahm Emanuel (Ill.) and Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean. The Republicans say Democrats shouldn't be absolved from answering questions about the scandal, especially in light of suspicions that the crisis was orchestrated as a political move to harm Republicans.

Just as it must be determined whether any Republican Members or political operatives were aware of and attempted to conceal Mr. Foley’s activities, it must also be determined whether any Democrat Members

if Foley was a Democrat, (a) this would not have even made the news, (b) if it did, they would be portraying him as a normal homosexual man who just simply has a younger man (18). I see all these Dem-spin-meisters on this site demonizing Foley because he has an active gay fantasy life with 18 legal gay men, this is such a complete double standard and it is rediculous. I guess the real question is, if Foley was a Democrat, now really pretend, would all you Dems be trying to destroy him the way you are now??

A teacher of mine played Billy Joel's song "We didn't start the fire", then he gave us the lyrics and we had to find on our own, information on each of the events Billy Joel mentions. Would you agree that would be a good political and historic curriculum for a History class?

I've looked online and since I'm only 13, I don't really understand the difference between a patent, copyright, and trademark. The ideas are all for controlling an MP3 player with more ease, but they can also be used for other products like phones or pdas. I want to be able to sell these to a company so they can start making it, but I need them to be protected or they'll just steal the idea when I contact them. And I know this is a bit of a seperate question, but what companies are out there that can help me get a patent and will do it for free or cheap? (I'm only 13, so I'm on a bit of a budget)

Could you help me with this situation? I had co-signed for an ex-lover to purchase a vehicle about three years ago. I haven’t heard from this person in over two years. I came home Wednesday night to find the vehicle sitting in my driveway, with the keys, and the registration in it. There wasn’t a note or a message or anything.
I called the finance company and they had told me that the payments where always made on time except for the last three months. I also found out that the registration was three months behind as well as a few tickets on it.
So, I made the payments to the finance company to catch it up. I am taking care of the registration and tickets. As well as added the vehicle to my insurance.
Now I want to protect myself if I am going to take on the financial responsibility of the vehicle.
I am unable to reach my ex and I think that he may have even left the country for a period of time.
The registration lists him or me as the owners of the vehicle. Which is apparently different then if it was listing as him/me.
DMV is telling me that this makes it possible to remove him from the registration of the vehicle with out his signature.
Now DMV will not remove him from the vehicle until he is removed from the loan from the finance company. The finance company is telling me that I need to refinance the vehicle and take on a new loan myself.
O.K. sounds easy enough. Right?
Well, I am trying to refinance the vehicle and nobody will take it until DMV removes him from the registration.
So DMV will not remove him until the finance company does, and the finance company wont remove him until DMV does.
Big problem!
It seems that the only choice I have is to continue paying the loan and keeping him on there as an owner. Once the loan is paid off, I can go to DMV and have him removed.
Now my question is how do I protect myself from my ex just coming over and driving off with the vehicle. Assuming that he has as much legal right to this vehicle then I do.
Is there a way for me to legally take over ownership of the vehicle without being able to contact him? Assuming he has just abandoned the vehicle? At least for now.
Do I as the co-signer have more legal right to the vehicle then he does? What can I do to remove his rights to the vehicle at this point?

Nowadays all cops do is give out tickets, taser innocent citizens and protect rich people from getting robbed of their mansions. Lets face facts, all police do is stop poor people from robbing rich people of their money. Why does anybody have respect for cops? Rich people got their money from screwing poor people anyways. All cops do is protect the rich people in their gated communities.

Have they been caught in their lies again? They keep hammering about the deficit and the economy, the Bush tax cuts being irresponsible, etc. But the fact is, the economy is doing well, better than projected, the deficit is being cut at a faster pace than projected.

Read it and weep!

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - Guards at Guantanamo Bay bragged about beating detainees and described it as common practice, a Marine sergeant said in a sworn statement obtained by The Associated Press.

The two-page statement was sent Wednesday to the Inspector General at the Department of Defense.

The lawyer sent the statement on behalf of a paralegal who said men she met on Sept. 23 at a bar on the base identified themselves to her as guards. The woman, whose name was blacked out, said she spent about an hour talking with the Marines.

A 19-year-old sailor referred to only as Bo "told the other guards and me about him beating different detainees being held in the prison," the statement said.

"One such story Bo told involved him taking a detainee by the head and hitting the detainee's head into the cell door. Bo said that his actions were known by others," but that he was never punished. Bush will protect the Marines Bo said. Beating prisoners is the American way.

A Navy corpsman testified at his court-martial today that he watched as Marines shot an Iraqi civilian in the head after taking him from his home in the town of Hamdaniya. Petty Officer 3rd Class Melson Bacos said he saw two Marines fire at least 10 rounds into Hashim Ibrahim Awad. Seven Marines are charged in Awad's death.

What has become of us? Why are our people doing this? How do you think our founding fathers would feel if they saw the sorry state our country now?

Republicans and talk show radio hosts have been warning of what will happen if Pelois becomes Speaker of the House. Well, out of her own mouth she has justified their fears.

"Raise the minimum wage to $7.25 an hour, maybe in one step."

"Bush-era tax cuts would have to be rolled back for those above "a certain level."

"We must share the benefits of our wealth" beyond the privileged few, she added."

More bigger government, higher cost of living, hurt economic growth. Yeh, that sounds like a great idea. She'll probably increase the welfare rolls too.

Frist: Taliban Should Be in Afghan Gov't
JIM KRANE / AP | October 3 2006

-U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said Monday that the Afghan war against Taliban guerrillas can never be won militarily and called for efforts to bring the Islamic militia and its supporters into the Afghan government.

**I thought the "Afghan War" ended in 2001. Now in 2006 theres still 20,000 American soldiers over there and the Republican Senate majority leader says theres no way we win. Why is he doing this now?

Currently as it stands, most police departments have a policy that states that police officers can taser a citizen for just doing nothing wrong but disobeying an order. Critics are mad because more than 200 citizens have died after being tasered by the police. Many citizens want a taser policy that says tasers can only be used in deadly situations.
