if Foley was a Democrat, (a) this would not have even made the news, (b) if it did, they would be portraying him as a normal homosexual man who just simply has a younger man (18). I see all these Dem-spin-meisters on this site demonizing Foley because he has an active gay fantasy life with 18 legal gay men, this is such a complete double standard and it is rediculous. I guess the real question is, if Foley was a Democrat, now really pretend, would all you Dems be trying to destroy him the way you are now??

The only time the Democrats have morals or a conscience is when it is a Republican who errs. When it a Democrat who succumbs to human frailty they make excuses establish support systems and have groups hugs.

There's more to the Foley, than 1 18 year old page.
But you are right. If it was a Democrat, this would not be a big story, because people naturally expect Dems to have a lower moral standard than the GOP.
It's also being widely promoted by the liberal mainstream media because this election will have a real chance of unseating the GOP as the party of power in the House, and every seat will make a difference in their quest to regain power.

The kid is 16 not 18 and foley has a history of this.. Get your facts right... Foley's excuse is that he was malested by a member of clergy between the ages of 12 and 14. He can't even get the age right, something like that would scar you forever and even if you surpressed it you would know if it happen at 12, 13, or 14. Your memory is sharp at those ages, and in past centuries some cultures considered you an adult by age 12, so your mental capacity including your memory had to be intact.... Foley is an ADULT preying on teenage children... He was wrong don't defend a pedifile......

You're absolutely correct. There IS one thing Foley can still do to save his political hide----he can switch over to the Democratic Party! By taking this simple action ALL the liberal media's attacks will promptly cease. THEN he will be a harrassed gay man who was simply having a legitimate relationship with an 18 year old man. He will be credited with showing great wisdom for leaving the party of that devil Bush. The Democrats will push to have him immediately reinstated to Congress and he'll receive plush committee assignments.
