Frist: Taliban Should Be in Afghan Gov't
JIM KRANE / AP | October 3 2006

-U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said Monday that the Afghan war against Taliban guerrillas can never be won militarily and called for efforts to bring the Islamic militia and its supporters into the Afghan government.

**I thought the "Afghan War" ended in 2001. Now in 2006 theres still 20,000 American soldiers over there and the Republican Senate majority leader says theres no way we win. Why is he doing this now?

One thought to consider is Afghanistan has never attacked with intent to conquer any other Country ever. Also Afghanistan has never been conquered. Not even Gingus Khan or Alexander the Great took and held Afghanistan.

The Afghan people know this and actually look at aggression more humorously than we do. They know the aggressors will fail so they set back and watch.

I saw an interview with a Tribal Elder. He had a Russian Tank and said I'll park an American tank next to it when they leave.

I'm not saying give up the pursuit of Ben Ladin I'm only saying look at the big picture.

the place have been you throughout Vietnam? This became a similar reason we could not possible win in Vietnam. while the inhabitants is against you, you are able to in no way win. Any time an invading rigidity contraptions up a central authority, that government serves to needs of the invading rigidity and not the persons. That government is often perceived as corrupt by using the persons. those people who served in southeast Asia knew there became no prevailing that conflict while toddlers and female with toddlers strapped to their chest have been capturing at us. The Afghan conflict as properly as Iraq have been ill conceived.
