If you're concerned about the "running and stuff", you're not cut out for a career in the military. I have never personally been through USN basic, but I can assure you that the "running and stuff" is the easiest part of BMT.

The physical training such as running is not all that tough. When I retired from the Navy at age 50 I had to run a mile and a half in 16 minutes but I could easily run it in 12 minutes.

I think you will be required to run mile and a half in 13 minutes so get started now.

The hard part is the learning to submit to the discipline of the Navy. But once you learn to accept discipline and become a disciplined person it stays with you for life. You will grow up real fast.

i don't care what all people says...we get it, the marine corps is the toughest...i'm happy people discover it mandatory to remind others like we are retarded and did not already understand. no one cares. air rigidity user-friendly exchange into mentally tense. era. "R" could not have defined it any further helpful and no person else will the two. i exchange into drained and in a position to be executed by utilising the tip of all of it. of course it exchange right into a humorous tale bodily, even though it somewhat is what you're making it. getting into out of shape would be hell regardless of it somewhat is low point type score of the least confusing boot camp bodily. we do emphasize psychological vs. actual...that area isn't an underestimation.
