Whether I have kids or not is irrelevant (although I do have two daughters in their late 20s). This question is about exposing the hypocrisy and the double standard that exists in our society.
If kids are not old enough to have sex, then kids are not old enough to be accountable for their crimes. If they are, then they are old enough to consent to sex. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Otherwise, it is hypocritical.

Pedophilia is about targeting kids that know next to nothing about sex at best. Kids that are 12-17 years old probably know more about sex than their parents or grandparents did at their age.

Technically, if a "child" is old enough to bleed, said child is old enough for sex. If any of you would get your ignorant selves out of western culture and study someone else's, you'd know that in some countries it is OK for people as young as 13 to marry. *gasps* You think it's wrong, but if a girl or boy can produce a baby, then by the laws of nature they can make one.
Don't misinterpret me, though. I live in the U.S. and I respect the laws. I would not want my child to engage in any type of sexual act unless she is married. No questions asked. I would feel even worse if an adult preyed upon her because he should know better.
I also don't think any children should be tried as adults for any crimes they commit. They are children. They need rehabilitation and if, by the time they become legal adults, they show no signs of improvement, their sentence should be carried over into adulthood. I despise the double standard we set for our children, it sets a poor example.

Where in God's name do you get THAT logic from?? If they're aren't not old enough to have sex they aren't old enough to be tried as adults for crimes????
You are the reason we have people in power making decisions for you.....
So in the New York City case of the 16 year-old "children" taking a baseball bat, beating a 8 year-old to death (for his sneakers & starter jacket), they shouldn't be charged because they aren't old enought to have sex yet.........

this is a morial ?, you should know the answer, if you had kids would you want you kid sleeping with a 25 yr old at 15, no, plus the law makers look at like, 12-17 arent adult yet, they havent fully matured, and kids get tried as adults when they do something , like kills there parents for no aperent reason.

You've got to be joking. There's something called PEDOPHILIA. Just because your old enough to bleed does not mean you're old enough to have sex. Sex is a very private thing that a kid cannot understand... I'm gonna drop it at that and get off my soap box.
