The way the world is going these days. Do you feel you will see a nuclear war in your life time?

I got a few NOs to this question. I like to hear more from someone that thinks No it will not happen in thier life time please

There will definitely be nuclear war in our lifetime. However, I doubt it'll be the Iranians or North Koreans doing the nuking.

The war won't be a civilization-ender, though. Nukes are plenty nasty, but the firebombing of cities like Tokyo and Dresden was every bit as destructive as the nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki - and Japan and Germany have nevertheless recovered just fine.

I don't think the next nuclear war will use many nukes... maybe one or two, maybe a handful, but nothing approaching the entire arsenal of the USA and Russia. That being the case, the war won't change our lives that much... unless you have the misfortune of living in the wrong city, of course.

BTW, it's looking very likely that the U.S. will attack Iran within the near future, and there's been plenty of talk that we may use nukes (albeit as bunker busters, not as city-destroyers). Hang on tight, we may be in for a ride...

Yes because the fear of Mutually Assured Destruction or the Nuclear Deterrent does not work on Islamic extremist republics such as Iran or Syria. A modern free-thinking, intelligent society would not seek to destroy another, knowing the response would be nuclear and kill millions of their own...

I see the Iranians supplying nukes to terrorists. They will get them across our border in a truck following the truck with 15,000 pounds of narcotics. They will divide the bombs and detonate them in Washington D.C. New York City and so on. After the dust settles it will be piratically every man for him self.

If someone doesn't stop the Iranians and the North Koreans, you betcha! Another reason to not vote for the Democrankies. They'd probably want to give 'em the weapons in exchange for them promising to not use them on us. They are so good about keeping promises, aren't they?
