The cost per household for illegals in 2006 was $3080 in social services.

The average illegal household produces 28% of the taxes produced by citizens in general.

The government paid $2.8 billion in Medicaid, $2.5 billion in treatments for the uninsured, $2.1 billion in food assistance, such as food stamps, $1.8 billion for prison costs, and $1.6 billion in aid to schools to educate illegals.

Almost $11 billion dollars just in federal aid, this doesn't incorporate local state and community costs.

The latest estimate has around 12 million illegals in the country. This breaks down to about $900 per year per illegal.

Would taxes they pay, when they pay, come even close to denting the cost of their services?

If people want to whine about excessive government spending, why not start with the $11 billion+ that we waste supporting people who aren't our responsibility and who have broken our laws?

I need an answer by July 9th. I was radar'd by an officer travelling down the highway the opposite direction. I was nearly arrested and as such did not put up much of a stink about the speeding violation. I would be happy with just having the actual ticket reduced from a criminal offense to a civil one. I have to go down to court on Monday so I need an answer by then. Thanks for all your help.

You see, I used to be anti-immigrant. Here is a link to some of my earlier questions:

but now I have seen the error of my ways. I fell in love with an ILLEGAL named Juan. Here is a pic:

Thomas Paine was the ultimate Founding Father! Wooo, Tom Paine ROCKS!

Did you know he:

-produced the original draft for the Declaration of Independence?

-was militantly anti-slavery, and included a clause in the draft for the DofI that would abolish slavery, but it was omitted because Thomas Jefferson owned hundreds of slaves?

-wrote pamphlets that were read by a percentage of the population back then that is greater than the percentage of people that watch the Superbowl today?

To think that someone so important is left out of so many "founding father" lists is ridiculous! You've got Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, James Monroe, etc. etc. etc...but no Tom Paine! Blasphemy!

It's just because he wrote the brilliant "The Age of Reason" and denounced Christianity that he died poor and hated by the ignorant. Theodore Roosevelt called him a "filthy little atheist", which is about as ignorant as you can get. Thomas Paine was not an atheist nor a Christian, but a Deist.

Why are we opposed to illegal mexican immigrants not paying taxes when none of the legal immigrants in this country don't pay them either, why do you think they own so many businesses,

For instance when I use to work for toys r us as a cashier, the citizens that weren't born here could go to the customers service desk and get the taxes back on the items they had just purchased, even when they buy homes and cars they are still charged no taxes. So shouldn't we complain about all of them not paying taxes

Why do people serve others? Because they can. Why don't we expect it of each other? Because we don't have to....yet. What do you think we can do to create an atmosphere of service towards others?

Do you think rape, murder, theft and all of the other crimes would be punished or would they be left go? It seems a lot of people have problems with Christianity. Since our forefathers set this country into action using the Bible what rules would you suggest we use?

As the ranks of the world's wealthiest climb, the world's poor stagnate. Generations of aid have not yet fixed this problem. Do we in the North really want to fix the problem? Or are we too far away? Should each of us (those privledged enough to have internet access) have to spend time in another man's flipflops to truly understand poverty? As a consequence we may also find that our yeanings for material gain carry us on a pursuit of discontent. Happiness is at the center. If all of humanity merges there, can we not share it equitable? We might all win. How?
