Instead of lobbying rich countries for financial help. Resources and energies would be better placed in trying to get the World Bank to print the money and pay for experts to help these people feed themselves. What are they more afraid of: inflation or death!

People have been starving in North Africa/Sudan/Dafur for the past 20 years that I know of. Why don't they move these people to a country in which they can grow their own food, be free from civil war and corupt governments.

With Bono's question about African poverty, doesn't it seem reasonable to NOT bring a child into the world when you yourself are starving? I don't make hardly any money, and the LAST thing I would do is crank out a bunch of kids I can't take care of.

I'm totally serial here, does it make sense to feed starving people so that they have the ability to make 5 more starving people? Am I the only one who thinks this is a sysyphean policy?

We shouldnt consider the work they do......they are not doing this work for our benefit....they're obviously selfish people, they are just here for their own benefit.......and they violated america to get here......freedom comes at a price and that price is responsibility and justice.......!......accept the consequences of your selfserving act of illegally migrating and juicing america of its generosity

How can someone get out of the Navy, after he passed Boot camp.This person is assisting "A school", and wants to get out.The reason he wants to get out is because he is not passing any classes, and been told if he does not make it, he is going to Irag!!!! This person has failed his classes ,and cannot pass them.He is trying so hard and he is worry he is going to Irag, without his education.He had to sign a paper stating that if he does not pass he is going to IRAg, without his education.This person is only 18 years old.Does he has any rights not to go, if he does not pass????

for a presidential run in '08? Don't you people understand that he is a JUNIOR senator! This is only his first term as senator...don't you think more time as a "public servant" , a political track record of some merit may be a requisite to form a more informative view or opinion of him and what he could or couldn't bring to the table...?

It was not widely reported but one of the Conservative's policies at the last 2005 elections was getting rid of the minimum wage! Is this still their policy? If it is what planet are they on?

An example given by Clive Anderson, comedian and solicitor: ' a shoe shine boy in Indian undercuts prices and services cleaning shoes - he ends up spitting on the shoes to clean them in order to compete! Market rates if left to their own resources will run riot if not protected by laws. We will always need a minimum wage.

This is actually a response I made to a previous question, but I thought it might make an interesting question here.

I think that illegal immigrant supporters should all start a program throughout the United States where they sign up that they will 100% sponsor any illegal immigrant and their families, support them in all ways, take them in to live in their homes or ensure that their rent is paid wherever else they may live and that those illegal immigrants will NEVER consume social services while here in the USA, and that if those illegal immigrants commit any crimes, the supporters will pay all costs of those crimes, and if those illegal immigrants apply for social services or hospital/medical care, those illegal supporters will pay for those costs 100%. If the illegal immigrant disappears, then the sponsor (illegal supporter) has to pay a huge fee, like $50,000. This is the only way that I would be okay about illegal immigrants being in the USA. What say you?

Many people don't believe in the official story of what happened on 9/11. I don't see the harm in reopening the investigation to try to answer some of the questions ignored by the 9/11 commission. The FBI should release the video tapes from the hotel and the gas station close to the Pentagon. Why hide this information? After 5 years it couldn't possibly jeprodize national security. Why were certian testimonys in the 911 investigations behind closed doors with no witnesses. Why were some testimonys ommitted in the official report? Come on you die hard Bush supporters what would it hurt???? More money was spent investigating Clintons sex life than on the 911 investigation.
