This is actually a response I made to a previous question, but I thought it might make an interesting question here.

I think that illegal immigrant supporters should all start a program throughout the United States where they sign up that they will 100% sponsor any illegal immigrant and their families, support them in all ways, take them in to live in their homes or ensure that their rent is paid wherever else they may live and that those illegal immigrants will NEVER consume social services while here in the USA, and that if those illegal immigrants commit any crimes, the supporters will pay all costs of those crimes, and if those illegal immigrants apply for social services or hospital/medical care, those illegal supporters will pay for those costs 100%. If the illegal immigrant disappears, then the sponsor (illegal supporter) has to pay a huge fee, like $50,000. This is the only way that I would be okay about illegal immigrants being in the USA. What say you?

Girlonthemove: Thank you for your very lovely answer here. I am impressed, especially since you say you are only 15 years old. I hope that when you grow up you will go on to do very good things for all the hungry, starving people in the world. However, I also hope you will get some real world experience because you will learn that most of the illegal immigrants in the USA right now did not leave a starving existence in their home countries. The real starving, hungry people in the world are too poor to even try to come to the USA illegally, or otherwise. Those are the people you want to help, but not by bringing them to the USA. Help them in their own countries so they don't have to illegally immigrate to anywhere else.

My father would probably be considered an illegal immmigrant as would you if you are not an american indian.... all i can say is most of the illegal aliens i know unless corrupted by an american thug are some of the hardest working and kindest most thankful people I have ever met.I am very sorry for that group of population that it became such a hardship to come into this country however i must say that unlike many cultures that have assumed citzenship I think they are probably one of the most hardworking family oriented set of people i have ever met

this country they choose to support their family, and not live off the government.

Illegal immigrants are already outside of the law. If you create some extremely labyrinthine process to be illegal, that is even harder than being a legal immigrant, then why won't they be outside those laws?

The real problem is that there is a huge demand for cheap manual labor, and a huge supply of people willing to take those jobs. That's where a solution should start.

Lacks credibility and demonstrates a blind devotion to an Anti-American agenda. #1 3000 American CITIZENS are murdered every year by illegal aliens. #2 4000 American CITIZENS are killed every year in auto accidents, where an ILLEGAL ALIEN is at fault. #3 Fully 1/3 of Federal prisoners are ILLEGAL aliens that have committed serious crimes like murder, rape, etc. , in ADDITION to disregarding immigration laws. #4 ILLEGAL ALIENS use OUR hospitals, and fail to pay 90% of the time. So, saying that they are "generally nice and hard-working" is a lie. How about we send them all back, with a person like you under each arm? EDIT* Oh, o.k., good. SInce ALL Illegal aliens are criminals, according to OUR laws, they would be sent also, *ding* problem solved.

I completely disagree with that. It seems to me that you only think that illegal immigrants are only here to take advantage of the health care system and drain the country's money. They are not criminals! The only thing they have done wrong is to come here illegaly. Sure, there are illegal immigrants that have commited crimes but you cannot generalize that all illegals are criminals and are here in America for a free ride. There are also many citizitens here that are criminals but you're not saying that Americans are draining the country's money.

Many illegals are here in search of a greener pasture. They are here to work as hard as they can to provide food on the table for their families back home. Without them, who will serve us at fast food restaurants? Who will garden our lawns? Who will work the fields? Who will do the job that Americans are too proud to do? Without them, our economy would not survive.

They risk their lives to get here in search for a better life. They know the risk but because of desperation they have no choice but to come here illegally. If they want to work come here the legal way? Of course! Who would want to risk their lives and come here illegally when they have the choice to come here the legal way. They don't have any other choice. They cannot find the opportunity to come here legally that is why they are here illegally. If they had any other choice then it is another case.

I would sponsor them if I could but unfortunately I am only 15. I'm sure my family would gladly do that if it is a way to ease someone's life and away from people's cruelty and lack of compassion. They are dying of hunger there and you are here living in the lap of luxury complaining. Don't you think that is selfish of you?

I like your idea and think it's a good way for Americans to wake up and say, "do we REALLY need them here?"

and to the little (girlonthemove) with the bleeding heart...I admire your compassion but you've watched too many ads for Christian Children's Fund. I suggest you travel to Mexico and see the lifestyle there. The reason any of them might be hungry is because they've destroyed their own water supply, which is what they have began doing to ours now as well. They have no regard for their impact on others or the environment. Not to mention, while you're there, you might get a sampling of how much they respect and admire women. After a band of 5-15 have taken turns with you and passed you around the tequila tavern for a peso or two.

NO NEED. Illegal immigrants use less welfare or services than any other group in America. They are self supporting. They do not have access! They use fewer services than the native born!

you can't hold people responsible for other people's actions. trying to pin $50k on someone because someone goes missing is ridiculous.
they'd be alot of people laughing at that.
