Hello guys, i found this in a website that sells bullet proof vest. This is how he discribe his vest..Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Regarding the vest Yes, I have a few now because its fast selling and this is already the best armor vest you can find .. far better than Kevlar made which expire in time, ours does not...

Material use is UHMWPE is the super fiber name for Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) and it is generally known to be a plastic material that can resist all type of Chemicals & tested under extreme conditions that last for hundreds of years "no expiration of quality of the material" unlike Kelvar or Twaron it's an Aramid fiber that has a limitation on certain chemicals and heat, it also loses it's strength and expire in a certain period of time.

Tested on 17 plies against 9 mm Parabellum,

Full Metal Jacket by Dynamit Nobel

And he said that his vest is 15 times stonger that steel unlike kevlar which is only 5 times stronger.

The Weapons and Materials Research Directorate of the U.S. Army Research Laboratory is developing a new kind of "liquid armor vests" made of sheer tickening fluid (STF). STF is made of equal parts polyethylene glycol – an inert, non-toxic thickening agent used in a variety of common products, like some ice creams – and minuscule glass particles.
STF maintains its liquid status until there is a rapid or forceful motion is applied, like a bullet hit. In that case the liquid instantly hardens.
US Army hopes so to develop harder and more durable bulletproof vests.

They don't necessarily expire, but advances in the technology make it necessary to upgrade them. Over time, however, the kevlar can deteriorate, as can the metal plating in certain vests. It'd be wise to replace the vest frequently, especially if you intend to wear it everyday (i.e. if you're a police officer).

Yes they do. It has been proven that the Kevlar does deteriate after sometime. About the only thing that wouldn't would be a steel plated vest. Problem with them is to heavy to wear in combat situations.

yup! it will expire! and their are different kind of vest actually, and every class and type has their own expiration date. for example a metal plated vest i guess it takes a longer time to expire than sand vest and chain vest.

I believe they all deteriorate in time. You could contact the manufacturer and find out specific information for the vest you have.
