Considering the last 6000 years or so, poverty has not been solved, do you think millionaires can solve poverty by lecturing US and not actually giving their own money way to solve the crisis?

Have a question about detaining (Police only please)?

Private Citizen, was just wondering when you can cuff if the person wasn't cooperative. I work security but during my training it seemed quite vague. I know better be sure if you put your hands on someone but from your point of view how does it apply when your dealing with someone out of control.

Mommy, why do liberals confer more rights, respect, and compassion to lobsters at Whole Foods than to babies?

Whole Foods said that they will no longer sell live lobsters because they want to show compassion and respect for them, that it is inhumane to sell a live lobster that will subsequently be boiled. But, they are still going to sell frozen lobster meat, lobster bisque, and lobster and crab salad.

So mommy, is this one of those special Liberal logic thingamagigs where you do a little something to feel good about yourself, yet keep doing the same immoral things you always have done?

Mommy, so are they saying, hey, lobster need compassion, so we will only sell them if they have been killed PRIOR to getting to our stores in nice frozen bags of tasty meat?

after the job figures for the month of june came out..115,000 new jobs...nancy pelosi said the economy is tanking and wages are stagnant,,,

if this is true..and the job situation and economy is so bad...why do demonrats want to let all these illegals in the country and give them amnesty and go'vt benefits..???

Cure for politicalitis? Suffering from a severe case of leftism or rightism? I need help?

Why is there so much anger and hate? And, the need for each of us to attack each others' opinions on a frequent and inarticulate basis? If you already agree with a political side, why do you have to dedicate hours upon hours to proving everyone else wrong? Obviously, people believe what they are going to believe. In my life, I have never seen anyone change their political affliation due to catch phrases or partisan ranting. So, what's the point of it all? Plus, most of the time when people argue for their side, it's not based upon anything but broad generalizations distilled from narrow statistical findings, leading to improperly drawn conclusions. For the political dart throwers out there, wouldn't you want to hold your ideals to a higher standard? What you are saying is more of a reflection of YOU than anything else. Think about it, if you're able help someone understand how you feel, they're more likely to agree with you. Stop the insanity?

does anyone know what steps would it take to move to Canada after getting married?

My fiance is an American citizen and is wanting to move to Canada to live with me. We are thinking about eloping, but after we get married would that mean he would be able to live in Canada? If not, does anybody know what steps he should take in order to get over here. Also, would he need to get visa's until he becomes a citizen?

I think I'm facing discrimination, what do I do?

We've been trying to build a house for sometime now. The problem is that we can't get the building permit from city hall. Everytime we go making the changes to the blue prints that they ask for they keep telling us that we need to make even more changes. Once we do what they say they come up with some other reason why they can't give us the permit. At one point they told us that our blue prints where totally illegal, why didn't she tell us that months ago?! Why can't they just find all the things that need correcting and tells us in one day so we have everything and not needing to go back hoping that that time we'll get it then come home empty handed needing to spend more money to hire a new plumber, electician etc. They told us at first that we can do the plumbing and electic ourselves then later they tell us we need to hire professionals. Did I mention this has been going on since the begining of this year?
