No one knows for sure because no one has lived to tell how it felt.

Electric Chair Painless

No - it is definitely not painless. Despite what anyone might think - there is currently no death penalty method that is truly painless (nor should it be).

Electricity is flowed through a body with great potential causing your neurons to short out killing you. It is not particularly quick (much slower than a simple firing squad) and from all accounts, it is very painful.

How would you feel with the charge of electrical currents pulsing through your body?

YES it isn't painless, that does not negate the use but of course it is. Try placing a 9 volt battery (both positive and negative terminals) on your tongue, tell me if you have pain or not.

Seriously?.....how can having electricity roar through your body till your insides burn up and you die be painless?.......its not instant death....it can take up to several minutes for the electric chair to kill someone.....so no, its not painless.

The electric chair isn't painful enough.

No.

Because it can take several minutes, and multiple electrocutions, before the inmate is killed.

"the prisoner's eyeballs sometimes pop out and rest on his cheeks...vomits blood...the prisoner's flesh swells and his skin stretches to the point of breaking. Sometimes the prisoner catches on fire"

Does it really matter?

The people die anyways, it's not like they're gonna come back and sue you.
