Bono's fund-raising is only going into the hands of the corrupt government officials who don't care about their own citizenry.
Even with all the billions of dollars the US has given in aid over the years, without the money & goods going to the people who need it, nothing people like Bono will do will ever make a difference......except for those corrupt government officials........

What I can't understand is why people like Bono-head don't go over to Africa and talk to a few of those extremely wealthy diamond mine owners and stock holders for some help in relieving poverty in the most unknown poverty stricken nation in the world, 'the good ole U.S.A.' . Especially us older folks on Social Un-security.

No, but let's give some credit where credit is due! He's at the very least making an effort. That's a hell of a lot more than most of us do! He's using two of his most valuable assets...his name and time to make a difference. Even if nothing is ever resolved or improved, he tried. Give the man that.
He earned his money, he can do whatever he wants with it.

He is making an honest effort to do so, which is more than can be said for most people.
When he donates his time, for concerts, personal appearances, or to contribute to the ONE campaign, he IS donating money.
His time, as a highly-sought-after performer is worth a LOT of money. He also attracts others who want to help.

Hope springs eternal. Any difference that anyone can make is a good thing. And how do you know that he hasn't used some of his own money?

he has spoken to many people... in many different countries... and I believe he gives much of his money...
just because it's not on Fox News and he's not crowing to the media about it... it doesn't mean it's not happening...
