Why allow Ralph Nader to participate in the debates and not other idependent and "minor" party candidates? Can you imagine giving equal time to candidates from the Green, Libertarian, Reform, Consitution, Communist, Natural Law, etc. etc. etc. parties? Don't forget all the independent candidates. Nader didn't have the backing of ANY party in the 2004 elections. Sorry, but we just don't have the time.

Because the Democrats were afraid he'd siphon votes away from their candidate, just as Perot did from George H.W. Bush in '92.
