I want to love and work in the UK. Their regulations are very strict. I hear UK citizens that want to leave the UK, and all I want to do is be there.

I am actually American. An American who feels out of place. Don't get me wrong, I love this country, and was in the military here, and would still die defending this country and its people. However, I have always (even as a kid) wanted to live in England. That feeling only gets stronger as the years go by.

Well, first of all ,where do you come from? If your European, its free to come and work here with an EU Card, its that easy.
If not, their 2 options. Asylum, if your country is becoming to dangerous to live in, or Immigration. I think you will have to get in touch with your nations immigration office and start from their on my friend.
Do you have some good skills? Your English is very good, thats a good start :)

Oh, cool, im sure we'd be pleased to have you on board :) However, their are some things you must definatly consider:

1) Anti-Americanism is on the rise. Im no fan on American politics, but some of us over here really do detest you guys. If you feel comfy with ignoring their remarks, then go for it
2) As you come from another Western Nation, its almost certain you will get immigration rights. Just contact the British embassy or the American..foreign office? What do you guys call it?

What part do you want to live in? Im in the Midlands, near Birmingham. I love it, but its also quite a sad country..so much deprivation in places, so much desolation

Crime rates in Leeds and Manchester are obscenely high. English government has done little to tackle crime committed by their anti-social teenage kids (chavs). Thefts and vandalization of private properties are so common here that you must have everything insured (from your laptop to your TV, and even your pets!)

To be honest, England is my least favorite place to live out of all the places I've lived in. I lived in Taiwan, Philippines, US, Sweden, and Portugal.... and what I can tell you is this: the quality of life in England is the worst out of all. England is for people who have bad teeth and like eating junk food.
