Is it because women seem less threatening to other countries? Because they wouldn't be taken seriously? Or, is it something else?

The long range missile failed, but then 2 short/medium fired. This was today, July 4, and almost immediately after the shuttle took off.

Many of us consider ourselves citizens of our towns and cities, our states, and our nation. But have you ever thought of your self as a citizen of the World? Great people from Albert Einstein to Albert Camus have declared themselves to be World Citizens. Do you consider yourself a World Citizen? If so, what does being a World Citizen mean?

My dad died suddenly, and my mom died a few days after him. They had a jointly owned with right of survivorship checking/savings account, as well as jointly owned their house. Since my dad died first, do the accounts and house automatically become part of HER estate, since she survived my dad? The reason I ask is that he had about $4000 in credit card debt (in his own name, mom didn't have that card) and I think the creditors can't get anything because everything became my mom's upon his death. Is this correct? Both lived in New Jersey. Thanks.

You all know about Area-51 .The most secret place of United State . Heavily
guarded by millitary . So, why the name of this place is specially Area-51 ?
Why it is no another number i.e. Area-41 , 31 ,61 etc ? Can any body tell me
actually what happens inside that place ? I have heard that the place's surface is similar like
the Moon surface that's why NASA had shooted the film on that place . Which is known
as The First Man On The MOON . So , can anybody tell me that is this the main reason
to secure this place and not allowing to ordinary man ? Because still there may be the
shooting spot .

So N Korea doesn't have much of a missile BUT they are far more "infiltrated" into the US and Canadian populace than Muslims ............so a suit case bomb or so here and there and yes suddenly it is an anilateing nuclear attack. Help from Iran help from the other Arabs (Iran) help from Chile help from Cuba help from Costa Rica help from every nation the US has invaded - not a big jump. The US has a lot of enemies and I mean a lot.

Maybe the missle thing isn't the problem at all -

Whatever happens to the US happens to Canada - more or less - and it's not out of the realm that we get a direct hit....or you do and we get the aftermath. Take out the great Lakes with a "dirty bomb" and no one has drinking water on the east side of the continent.

It seems to me that if we put another 100,000 troops into Iraq and went city to city cleaning out the weapons and insurgents, this war would be over pretty quickly.

A massive search and rescue effort was conducted by the Sheriff's Office and no trace has been found. The Search and Rescue effort has been suspended and no further, organized, county efforts are planned. He has been entered in the national data base of Missing Persons.

Below is a CBC story it sounds like the US is backing down to me maybe the threat is more real than we know? What do you think?
North Korea has threatened the United States with nuclear war if any pre-emptive military strikes are launched against the isolated communist country.
The communist party newspaper in Pyongyang said on Monday that Washington had been increasing military pressure against North Korea but the country was ready to defend itself.
The paper said the North Korean people and the military "are now in full preparedness to answer a pre-emptive attack with a relentless annihilating strike and nuclear war with a mighty nuclear deterrent."The White House spokesman, Tony Snow, described the threat as "deeply hypothetical."
In recent weeks, the United States has expressed concern that North Korea was preparing to test a long-range ballistic missile that could reach American territory.State media in North Korea often threaten powerful retaliation against attacking forces.

The bottom of the shuttle looked kind of rough. I thought they were rushing it...and the launch just HAPPENED to be on the 4th of July at a critical time for NASA when it really needs the support. Seemed kind of political. Do you think they were taking a calculated risk?

They did launch another shuttle as a test, but I guess we'll have to see when they re-enter, huh?

About 3 years ago I started having gall stone attacks. From the beginning they were very severe attacks. Not having health insurance and not knowing where to go to get help, I went to the ER. They told me it was just gas and prescribed an antacid. I went home and a few weeks later when the pains became more intense, (they were severely painful to begin with.) I returned yet again to the ER. I informed them of the previous visit and yet again I left that day with no answers. The doctor told me it may be an ulcer and to follow up with the county health department for treatment. I made the appointment and while waiting for the appointment I suffered the most severe attack Back I went to the ER where they finally diagnosed the problem correctly. I was prepped for emergency surgery. That all came to a halt when they discovered my liver and gall bladder were severely infected. It took over a week to stabilize me for surgery and I was told if I waited even another day (brb have to add detail
