I think you are assuming Liberals are Democrats. This is not always true, any more than the Republicans being Conservative. Look at what the Republicans have Spent after all the surplus Democrats had, Republicans have spent the savings ,and got us in the red so far, our great grandchildren will be paying it back Some equate Liberals with Abortion, Democrats believe it Pro Choice. its a good thing , More Republicans have the Abortions

The liberals have been in power 40 of the last 50 years, but we are still dependent on foreign oil, have "green house gasses" have a one way open border with Mexico and a "touchy, feely", politically correct culture. What have they saved?

Actually the complete opposite, they are a bunch of abortionists aka baby-killers
sure save a tree, but kill a human being. Even if liberals don't declare a fetus a living human being shouldn't a pre-human outrank a tree.

Yes, liberals are the one's who save things. Their stance on abortion is well - founded. There looking ahead to the future of the child. Plus there are laws reguarding abortion. It really is not that big of a problem.

It depends on the things that you think need saving. The economy...nope. National defense...nope. The environment...yep. Government monopolies on healthcare, education, and corporations...yep.
If they do "save things", they won't last long. It's kinda like protecting whales so you can put them in aquariums.

liberals believe that government exists to help people. they think we should give money to a central location, and that money should be used for projects to help people.
conservatives believe that government should be small, and just exist for safety and security of the people, and that money should stay in the communities and people help each other directly through local efforts
