I mean we are at war, we go searching for Bin Laden, we end up finding Hussain. Our gas prices are high, they make billions, and the Bush family has stocks in the oil companies, while we the People are stuggling just to get to work everyday. And the bad thing about this, is that the gas prices will NEVER go down. They are winning, while the people of this country are loosing each day.

I'm in the DEP and the Marines recruiter is telling me BS. I would have never known except an ex marine i know just got back from Iraq and told me most of what my recruiter says isn't true. The army is offering me a better life and i want to get out of the Marines and take it.

No one has gotten it yet. It is the one word that allows for all the frivolous things that have been listed as answers to this question. Reading the answers posted so far makes it obvious why the U.S. is in trouble: people don't even know what she stands for. Shame on us and the schools that didn't teach us what should be easily understood.

Can you please set some good points why a woman should stay at home and a man should be the one working?
(It's nothing personal we had a draw, I didn't intentionally pick that side)
And oh, who earns more money in a company a man or a woman both of which has the same position. Can you please write down w/c company doesn't pay equal salary so I can rub it in my opponent's face.

Sometimes we ignore politician’s rhetoric as simply an embellishment to get votes, much as we ignore fans claims of who is going to win an upcoming game.

Since Kerry repeated this so many times I’m wondering how many actually believed his claim when he was running for president. Be honest.

If you did believe it, explain your knowledge of the Great Depression. Such as, did people actually starved to death or was it more like they couldn’t afford to buy their favorite music.

The Executive branch is the branch responible for ENFORCING the laws.
why don't we get a bunch of people all over the country to file, in every court in the land, lawsuits to force the government (on ALL levels) to enforc the law!
Local police, even state police refuse, by and large, to take part in holding illegals. Maybe it should be standard procedure, along with miranda warnings (who needs that now? haven't we ALL heard that about a million time on tv and movies?), to ask for proof of citizenship or legal status!
Everytime an illegal is arrested (and they are at a much higher rate than ANY OTHER GROUP!)and a judge lets one walk, that judge needs to be sued for deriliction of duty!
THIS ELECTION, VOTE OUT ALL THOSE PRO CRIMINAL POLITICIANS AND REPLACE WITH LAW ABIDING PEOPLE!

Who thinks the petrol price going up is a scam by the SA gevernment?
after all they want to make it that they can fine you if you drive on the N1 between joburg and pretoria and a while back they were promoting public transport. Are they not trying to force people to drive together?
Is our country turning into a dictatorship?

I find many democrats have a lot of "opinions" of how the war is not working and identify numerous mistakes however; I have yet to find their war policy or platform on the subject. With such strong opinions, I am sure they have a political platform of how they would run the war. I just haven't seen it.

I am getting a bit sick of the touchy feely state we live in. I know people who have been on the dole for years simply because they can't be arsed to work.

Not only does this cost the honest tax payers a lot of money, but it also creates a 'victim' of the person receiving dole. I accept though that there are honest people out there looking for work - and they will find it. From personal experience I got dole quickly, but to have my rent paid I would have had to have waited for months to actually be able to support myself to get back to work.

Now, it seems to me that people who work and want to work should be entitled to a generous payout from the state - but for a limited period. Those who don't want to work and can't realistically prove that they are actively looking for work should be cut off.

Let the state take care of those who actively participate than the few who ruin it for the majority.

They call us american cowboys, sinners and the sort. We were born in this country we know nothing any different. If we were born in a country with bombs exploding outside our windows we might be different. Yes there are some mean people that do terrible things in our country but these people are world wide and to single our country out is just lack of knowledge of how wonderful it is to live in a free country and to be free! I don't hate people because of where they come from but I do dislike jealousy and that's what I think allot of the problem is.
