Let me answer "MC_Hammer" -- You are either misled, which case it isn't your fault or you're lying and you therefore know the truth. It is not a war between only Christians and Muslims. Christians are the scapegoats here. Clever but not quite so clever, LOL !
Anyone who studied Public International Law as I have will tell you that this war is ILLEGAL --- totally illegal !! Lots of English lawyers have said the same thing. And therefore any killing committed is a war crime. I am white, European, Christian... I love American and the American people because I know them well but your government stinks. Pure honesty here, guys. I love my blood brother but I will not stick for him if he commits a crime !!! Sorry if this hurts or irates anybody. Democracy also involves dissent -- IE. difference of opinions.
And as for "Tom_Jr" below, if there is the danger of an innocent baby dying when you are trying to kill a terrorist then you should let that terrorist GO !! What is important is that SACRED thing called "INNOCENCE". I am HORRIFIED when I see an innocent baby dead because of, I duno,.... OIL ! And more of a joke, the legality of war, "Tom_Jr", internatinal conflict does NOT depend on the USA deciding alone, unilaterally, that it is LEGAL, LOL !! What does the rest of the world care whether your Congress approved it if the rest of the world does NOT !!???
"Princess_Toa" - I hope you come back and read this --- You said: "...who love our country but are humble and honest enough to agree with the rest of the world that there's something rotten going on here. " - Yap !!! What was that American soldier singing in that "Farenheit 911" film ? -"Let the M_th_r F___kers___ Burn ?" What ?????!!!!!! Was that an American singing ? Europe does not think like that. What is happening in Iraq... if I was a woman I would cry... I am indifferent to arab people like I am to many other peoples around the world but don't they have the SAME right to life as the rest of us ? Yes they do !! Has anyone CARED to consider what WE have done to Iraq ? It has been taken too far. Back to the stone age, destroyed... their people are suffering like few other people have... and I am here enjoying the World Cup ! -- I hope God, Whom I adore and believe in, comes to Earth and sends to Mars ALL those guilty of all the shi_t like in the Iraq conflict. Those who ARE UNWILLING, FOR FEAR OF LOSING HONEST ARGUMENTS, unwilling to sit down and COMPROMISE, should be sent to Mars. You just cannot win'em all as they say... WE MUST compromise... For compromising is to SHARE. No one owns this planet !! If you are greedy and do not want to share you should be gotten rid of by being put on a space ship and sent to a far away place and leave the rest of us to sort out the mess that is almost out of control. I fear we are playing with another world war !! We really are. And is Bush, who is definetely an idiot, the only one orchestrating this mess ? If he is the only one then it is easy problem to solve. VOTE HIM OUT. Not much we can do from Europe.
"Tommy_G" -- How old are you ? 12 ?! Just think for a minute about what you have just said: "ALTHOUGH YOU WON'T HEAR IT IN THE MEDIA, IT IS KNOWN THAT a Russian convoy was recorded loading and moving objects to Syria ABOUT ONE WEEK BEFORE THE INVASION." -- You have just about summed it all up, LOLOLOLOL... "YOU WON'T HEAR IT IN THE MEDIA"... so HOW do you know it ? You errr a Russian spy ? Your media has field days with you guys. -- Bye !!!

More people died on 9/11 than soldiers in three years of fighting.Your personal views are your own but the war was justified and has gone a long way in shoring up an increasingly disrespectful world view of our country. You think because the world says they hate us we are less safe, well that is wrong. We were becoming a laughingstock,so much so that tiny little countries started to think they could defeat us.And if the small ones think that what do you think countries like China or North Korea are thinking. We have attained the status of "Paper Tiger" and in that become a target for every thug in the world.
G.W. is not illegitimate,Senior and Barbara were married when he was conceived.
If your views were really the dominant and right view the war would not go on.Congress, including the Democrats, know exactly what Bush knows and are the ones who continue to fund and give power to prosecute the war.Every Dem was saying the same things Bush continues to say two years ago. There was no bad intelligence report, the weapons were there.Although you won't hear it in the media,it is known that a Russian convoy was recorded loading and moving objects to Syria about one week before the invasion.

This war isn't illegitimate. It was voted on by an overwhelming majority, both Democrats and Republicans. It was not a squeaker. The President was voted into office by a 3% margin of victory (that is roughly 4 million voters). He also knows who is mummy and daddy are, so in neither case is he illegitimate. So the question does not make sense.

A couple of mistakes in your question:
1. President Bush was legitimately elected to the Office of the President twice. Even if the Supreme Court hadn't stopped the recount fiasco in Florida, he'd still have won that state.
2. The President has the authority to make war with consent of Congress. Congress has repeatedly voted to authorize and then fund this war. Therefore it is legitimate.
3. All life is not equally valued. A baby and a terrorist aren't equal

The term "Pro-life" is misleading. Pro-Lifers really only care about the fetus. Once it comes out they don't give a crap about it, and if it's poor they yap about it and its mother sucking all their precious tax dollars out of their pockets. Pro-lifers are like spoiled brats who use altruistic reasoning as a front for selfish desires for control over the lives of other people they will most likely never meet. So it's pretty easy for them to support a doodoohead like Bush. They've got doodoo in their heads too.

And Frances, I personally as an American believe that our government sucks the big one, and that Bush and his whole freaking administration ought to be brought up on charges of war crimes and High Treason against the United States of America. Take 'em to the Hague! All the politicians who voted to go into this war ought to be voted out and not allowed a "next term". And I know there are other people like me, who love our country but are humble and honest enough to agree with the rest of the world that there's something rotten going on here.

Let me clarify, it should be called pro innocent life, that is why I support the death sentance. It is this ideology of protect the inocent that can justify war. Besides, contrary to what CNN would have you believe, gthis is not a war of oil, OK mabey partially but the real goal is to help curb terrorism.

Our president isn't illegitimate.

Our congress voted for the war and they can stop it at any time. It too is not illegitimate.

More babies are aborted in one day than all of our troops that have died since the beginning of the war.

We must distinguish between who is pro-life and who is simply pro-birth. So many conservatives, including George Bush, are pro-birth only. After a child is born, he or she is on his own and can expect little support in life from these "so-called" pro-lifers.
