At least once a day here I see the statement, "Gore invented the internet."

Always baffles me when you consider the... what is it now 50... lies that Bush has told.. everything from saying there were WMDs in Iraq, to a mushroom cloud threat, to Iraqi oil would pay for the war.

And the thing is that everytime I see that statement, I know it must be a teenager because anybody of any age would know that was misconstrued statement whereas Bush's crap was outright in your face lies.

I mean it's like a serial killer's kid saying... "but your guy ran a stop light"... no freaking comparison.

17 terroro suspects were arrested before anything went wrong and the US jumped all over us for being a security risk. They have had outright attacks - I think they got it wrong our police forces are showing they catch before it happens - maybe the US could come here and learn somthing about policing?

I know for sure that its not in the constitution n that its a human rights act. Also, its a right to privacy act, but other than that; could anyone tell me where specifically this law could be found. Osama might be a real person but his role is made up and he is used by the US foriegn dept liberally as the best ememy they ever had. Someone had to replace the big bad Russians

The debt (national) is based on an anciently old formula of one dollar equals one product and when an excess of money is circulated it is called a loan so that the ratio of dollar to prodcuct remains 1 to 1 In any real sense the debt is a made up entity that only exist on paper.

Banks who charge interst on loans and insurance companies and manufactureing plants(big ones) dictate the foriegn policy of the US and the government has become thier representitive. When big busness needs somthing they call George up and the planes roll - to protect US coperate expantionisim

There is no one cohesive group or entity amongst the coperations and the resulting power struggles and compitition make things very confusing - but at the end of the day someone gets hurt. It's only better in Canada because we are small

I am a European, and viewing American politics from the outside, I always considered the two opposing parties to be more like opposing wings of the same party. You do not have the idealogical difference found in most European countries' political systems, yet the language in this site would lead one to believe that the Democrat were really communist and the Republicans were neo-fascists.

The vilification of liberal views on this site is quite astounding. Is it wrong to have a social conscience? Is the only way forward to look after yourself and leave anyone less fortunate behind?
