You have no need to fear.
The reason we are overseas fighting is to ensure that the fighting never comes to you.

As a mother of a Marine that was over there, I was very scared and still am.
Please don't get me wrong I love our Military and I'll always support them no matter what but as a mom it's the worst feeling in the world knowing your son is fighting to stay alive everyday and having other men shoot at him.
When he was there I couldn't function right. Everyday I woke up I was afraid and wondering if he was ok. I was in front of the TV and computer every second I could. Even when I had to go to work I had family members call me with updates. The war consumed my life.
But what scared me the most is when I got the call that my son was hurt. But three days later I was in heaven when a Navy nurse called and let me speak with my son.
I know I'm talking for all moms when I say that we are all scared for all the soldiers over there. but on the other hand we are also very proud of our sons.

The war has been with us and amongst us for some time now. Whether you live in New York, London, Madrid, the paradise island of Bali, on a ship in the gulf, or work in an embassy in Africa, Al queada has been targetting you for over ten years.
There is no point being afraid as fear gives the terrorists victory. Just be vigilant and stand up for your way of life.

I'm not afraid of the war per se. Rather I'm afraid of how easy it was for President Bush to get us into it. I sincerely hope that a future Congress will amend the War Powers Act so that a formal declaration of war from Congress becomes necessary in order to activate our troops.

After spending 22 years in the military and being personally involved with every conflict from the end of Vietnam to Desert Storm I can definitely say most sane people should be afraid. I've had buddies loose there way in life because of war and I've cradled friends in my arms as they draw their last breaths in life. The movies don't depict the trueness of war, there is no music or melodies playing in the back ground as someone is shooting at you. I was a lucky one, I survived and was scared to death with each and every campaign I was involved with.

i am not afraid. I have been in the military and know their capabilities and know that they will do their best to keep americans safe. be afraid of the american forces that are there to thwart the war on terrorism, i.e. the likes of Murtha, Sheehan, the New York Times (all liberal media with an anti-Bush agenda)..why do they hate him so much when he has stood steadfast in the face of such partisan politics and open criticism, Glad this media and democrat party wasn't around in WWII era...feel safe young lady, you have the best men in the world on the AMERICAN side !!!

I am afraid too.
Even I never experience it, but just seeing it from TV already freaks me out. It's so tragic seeing people killing each other for whatever reason. Think of how much blood poured and how many people died. No matter who wins or loses, they both are losers anyway just by committing the war to happen. God, please forgive us.

No, aggression is apart of human nature, war is just a side effect. On another note, the armies of America and Western Europe kick ***. No one is gonna defeat us anytime soon.
