I know for sure that its not in the constitution n that its a human rights act. Also, its a right to privacy act, but other than that; could anyone tell me where specifically this law could be found. I have been searching on google for the past 20min n nothing was found. If anyone could assist me I would really appreicate it!! Thank you!

There is no federal abortion law, prior to the sepreme court decision based on the right to privacy, each state had its own law, either allowing or not allowing abotions, some allowed almsot everyone, other states did not allow any.

( which this still is a states right issue and the supreme court had not right to rule on it)

But the actual laws were state laws which were taken off the books normally after the supreme court ruled them uncostitional. ( a few states still have them but they can't be enforced) SD just outlawed it again, in a challege to the supreme court ruling ( they beleive the new supreme court will overturn the previous court ruling on various grounds ( basicly state issue, not a privious issue, it leaves right of the father out, and the orginal person who filed is now against abortion also.

So as for as I know they are the only state with an active law against it, which cannot be inforced untill it goes back to the supreme court

I don't think there is a particular "abortion law" persay; as of now, the "right to abortion" is implied under the "right to privacy," protected by the 4th, 5th, and 9th amendments. If you're looking for particular Supreme Court Cases, Griswold v. Connecticut would be the "landmark" case that barred a law that prohibited using contraceptives in marriage. Roe v. Wade is obviously the huge "abortion" case that has been debated for the past few decades.

it is not so much a law an a legal decision made by the supreme court. The laws on access to Abortion can vary from state to state, but the action of getting an abortion can not be prosicuted under row v. wade

As usual all liberal laws came from the Supreme Court. Roe vs Wade was made in 1973 for a woman who claimed to be raped & later admitted she was not raped. It is expected to go back to Supreme Court with a 5-4 majority Conservative, not likely to be upheld.

Abortion is a state to state issue. Last year congress tried to pass a law making it illegal for school nurses/ guidance conselors to take minors across state lines for abortions without their parents' knowledge/consent, but it didn't pass, even though abortion is a major surgery. Roe v. Wade is what defined abortion constitutional.
