I don't think so , Syria and USA have a very tense relationship full with conflicts and problems , Syria chooses ( Iran , Russia , china , Iraq , Palestine ) to be their allies ( USA and Europa enemies ) so if such thing happened i think USA will help Israel

Only 3 at the most, we only went to defcon 3 during the 9/11 attack, and that was against continental US targets.

Probably not.
Maybe if Israel invades Saudi Arabia or marches on Mecca or something suicidal like that.
Truth is, Israel will do whatever it can to pull the US into the conflict.
