Most politicians are stupid - Bush is just plain noticeable. You name some current politicians - noticeable ones - who truly do a good job, please... Anyway, the US isn't "a country", it's a federation of countries or, at least, you can put it that way. If you visit New York it'll be different from visiting Texas , which will be different from visiting the West Coast and so forth and so forth. Bush didn't win with many votes - in fact he had less votes than Kerry; but that's the way it works, some states's votes count more than others. It's a possible way of counting the votes and there's a reason. Anyway, it was the conservative Midwest who mainly voted Bush. Now, in a democracy everybody will have to put up with him for a period of time. It's still better than putting up with some murdering dictator for a lifetime, I suppose.

Because Americans aren't very intelligent, where fear is concerned. 9-11 kinda shook us deeply, bringing home all the misery of people who needed someone to blame for their suffereing.
Maybe we are to blame, but that's not the question here. 50.1% of the people voted for him because they felt that a consistent leadership was needed int he Iraq War, and that they felt it might take too long for another person (even someone as talented and intelligent as John Kerry) to be able to act with all the information right away. I don't agree with that assessment, as Kerry practically dismantled the entire Vietnam War by asking the US government while addressing Congress (as a 26 year old man) 'how do you ask a soldier to be the last man to die in Vietnam?'
Bush's presidency has been an umitigated disaster by any measure. It is not patriotic to support a man who lies to us and manipulates the truth to get what he wants. the best way to support the troops is not to put them in harm's way without proper supplies (like flak jackets or helmets), all based on a political wish, and not a political reality.
The American people may not wake up right away, but they are waking up. Soon enough, bush will be gone, and the new President can work to undo all the illegal practices and laws that have been enacted during the disastrous Bush Administration.

Well, he doesn't appear to be as stupid as the person who posed this question. When you can pose the question in the proper manner perhaps you will get more intelligent answers.
I believe you were trying to say, "Why did Americans vote Bush into office again, even though I feel he is a stupid man?"
Try again...

Last time I looked, the elections, both of them
were a little fishy
if it smells like a fish?
this is like BIG TUNA man.
We didn't vote for him, his daddy paid it off and got him in.
Ever look at the Bush SR's face when the Clintons walked in to the white house?
I thought they were gonna cry. Now they got their revenge I guess.
Also look inot his military records, his dad bought him out of veitnam too.
Think his daughters are gonna go serve?
NO
SERVE OTHERS FIRST is the rule
then you can serve yourself
So don't blame us we didnt vote for him
It's all about the Benjamin's baby
So this country wants a "christain killer" instead of social values to help the poor.
Sound like a familiar story?
By the way, he's not stupid, JUST RICH>

It is because Bush appears "a stupid man" that people have voted for him in the USA, but do not be fooled, he profited greatly at the USA tax payers expense, that doesn't sound stupid to me, callous more like.

He is stupid, but you don't need to be smart (apparently) to be President, you need to be connected enough to have SO many huge corporations fund your quest for the gold. So while he was riding in the Enron Jet and Haliburton was getting all bids for everything that the buffoon caused, and his buddy Duke Cunningham and the rest were taking bribes right and left, the money poured in and it was enough to make the simpletons vote for him.

I guess enough people thought that his plans were better than Kerry's and they didn't like Kerry's back & forth thing with some issues. Of course, neither candidate would have been perfect. I had practically equal opinions of both, based on who matched the issues I thought were important & what their ideas on those issues were. So, for me it was a tough call.

Not "again".
The first time he lost even with all the cheating, vote hiding, descrimination, machine tampering and finallly Republican supreme court appointment.
The second time they added unheard of turbo redistricting and more fraud and Machine tampering in key states.
The exit polls tallied that he lost but somehow for the 2nd time in history, exit poll advantage for Kerry ended up somehow for Bush.

Bush is a fear-monger. He played on people's fears and prejudices. Those who didn't see right through his campaign's ploy voted for him.
