We can only be stretched so far, and then we will be unable to do much good anywhere.

We will need no soldiers for this fight. Firing them at exactly the time that Challenger should have blasted off & towrds Japan is a defiant act. This war will be completely weapons not soldiers. Soldiers would not work since you can not sneak up with that many soldiers before nuclear weapon could be fired at Japan or USA. We have ability to shoot them down but I do not think Japan does.

North Korea is an isolated dictatorship whose people are starving. The best way to keep people in line is to whip up fear of a outside enemy. Might be the United States might be Bin Laden but all governments do it. Keeps people from asking "What the hell are you doing with all that damn tax money anyway.: The huge difference between the US and North Korea is that I can type this and you can read it and no one will be knocking on our doors.

It's called N. Korea shaking its "spare some change" cup on the international stage.

We should inform Kim Jong Il that if he continues to misbehave we will give him a class A ************ (....and shave his head, take away his platform shoes, and put a diaper on him in the public square). Just what the self-proclaimed "Dear Leader" deserves.

This guy wants attention and aid and we should not provide him with either one. What he needs is a good swift kick in the a_s.

He did it in a attempt to show his people hes strong, and "could shoot down the shuttle"...

Censored media, no outside world. Old ship disaster footage, launching & mediocre movie director planning = propaganda.

Im sure some north koreans right now are thinking lil kim just used some of north koreas "highly advanced technology" to attack a us shuttle, and us dosent even know who did it!

LOL

The N. Koreans are trying to blackmail their neighboring countries into providing them with foreign aid.

They launch a missile then demand a bribe before they will negotiate. They have been doing this for 40 years.

one theory could be that they are counting on their friendship with the Chinese, to help back them, and N. Korea just wants to start a war, they are getting very pushy just like Iran. and them firing those missiles is a sign that they are preparing for something.
America and Japan are keeping a close eye on them, to see what is going to happen next.

.They are testing their various missiles(with no payloads) to see if they can do what they are suppose to do.

We do this all the time.
