I disagree, I actually took the time to read about and get past our Disney version of history and foreign policy. I got out and saw the world and the damage we're doing to it, out from under the safe umbrella of feel-good/fear-everything propoganda. And I have no desire to go back and live in my homeland, the best I can do is watch it slide into a fascist dictatorship and laugh at those cheering as it slides. I wasn't born rich, just smart and hard-working and I'm living like a king where I am right now, something I couldn't do in the US. The opportunities really just aren't there any more. To get there what I have here in Romania with the spare time left over, I would need to have 3x the education investment and work twice the hours. You can have it.

I'll be back when we get a Libertarian in office. Until our Constitution holds some meaning again, I'm staying away.

The first mistake you are doing is thinking that USA is the only country in the world. The second mistake comes from the fact that you are not even able to understand that internet is worlwide so, people from other countries can see your question.
If you would be a bit more open minded, you would understand that there is no best country in the world, there is only different cultures and the mix of cultures/nationalities gives the wealthness to the world.
Without the other cultures and the other countries, USA would represent nothing.
Please can you stop creating a stupid competition between countries, and start to enjoy the world of mix where you live.
Regards

I am not in your land. Do you honestly think that anyone outside of the US would agree with you. I have been to "your land" and I think it is a dirty place full of uneducated people. Everyone is either very rich or very poor and those who are poor can't even go to a hospital if they are sick.

And by the way my father immigrated from the USA because he thought my land was better. Maybe you should try leaving you land to see what true freedom is.

Yes I agree. The U.S. has the potential to be the best country in the world. It has democracy, freedom, and it respects individuality.

However it's foreign policy since Bush was elected is anysmal. Bush has taken us down a very dangerous path. He has destabilisied the world. He really is a puppet of big business, many of whom have made millions from the unjust war in Iraq, which has based on lies.

How can this so called 'Christian' sleep at night, when he knows he made a decision based on lies which resulted in the death of 100, 000 innocent civilans.

He has put a blight on the good name of our country. We need a change of government.

You question is just plain rude. I am an american but what makes you think that America is the best. I mean, we attack Iraqis for their freedom when we should have just le their government take care of the situation. America has a terrible economy. We don't make things anymore. China does. I do not hate America but I think we are unfair at times. we are indeed not the best country in the world. Every country has something special about them.

Hey, this is the WORLD-WIDE web. I ain't in your land.

The U.S. is a pretty good country, and certainly better then some countries, but, I have lived in 7 different countries, including the USA, and my impression has been that the USA would only rate 4th on my own list of best countries.

While I enjoy living here, I don't feel we are any better than anyone else. Our forefathers allowed dissent, unlike the king of England. We have the right to disagree. This is why it is wrong to ban burning the flag. We can dissent, this is our greatest right. Limiting this, or any other right, takes away all of our fteedoms. Wait until you decide to do something that others disagree with!!!

It is a ghastly conceit to think so when you haven't been to every country in the world, or much of anywhere, it seems .

We have the potential to better our country, are not living up to it.

This is my land, and no arrogant, ignorant, inbred, dueling banjos spawn can change that one wit! If I sound arrogant, so be it, I don't have to agree with you, that's why; this is America!

The only hope for the U.S. are Americans who know that at this point your statement is dead wrong. There is no greatness in fascism or a government that is a puppet of big money. Our country is going down and bringing the whole world with it. I am ashamed of the U.S. and I pity the blind sheep that believe everything they are told.

Because the US has made so many enemies that no other countries want Americans and they have made immigrations more difficult.
