I am thinking about buying a Green Anole to keep as a pet, and I need to learn more about feeder crickets. Do you have to store them in a seperate tank or can you just put a bunch in with your anole?
let me know if you can find any websites to help please

My bearded dragon is only a few moths old, i was soaking her in a shallow tub, and like outa now where, she gets all poofy, her stomach blows up and stuff, she looked really bad! I took her out of the water, she was barely breathing, i thought she was gonna die... After like twenty seconds, she started breathing like normall again... What is this? Should i not let her soak? i already mist her, but usually i soak her once a week... Any ideas...?

Two miniature turtles rcd as gift just yesterday. I know of odds of them surviving is very low. They are in a plastic pond with rock for climbing in center. Currently eating turtle bites and are sitting in window receiving direct sunlight. After reading other questions and answers, I have stopped children from handling-did not know it was very stressful to turtles. I want to do everything possible so that they can have better chances of survival. Pls advise, of any addl information which would help them to live a long and happy life, thank you...

I need a simple explanation about it as the following :
1) Is it dangerous for other turtles (coz i have 3 more living together with him)
2) How to treat him from home since the vets are all closed for xmas (For the mean time)
3) Whats the best diet n surrounding for them...

I dont know what type of turtle they are really, but they sort of have black yellow stripes on sides...

p/s: pls dont have to suggest me to go to the vet, coz i know ill take them..i need home experience ok?

thanks yall

I have 2 red eared baby sliders and they are about 4 inches from head to tail. We went to petco and got them some rosy red minnows to eat and see how they like them and they havent even touched they yet. It appears that they dont even notice them. Is there something wrong with my turtles. I have a male and a female i dont know if that helps. Thanks

I have a 6 months old Red-Eared Slider.
She seems to be healthy. Her eyes, eating, swimming, breathing, basking, etc. are fine. But the only thing that makes me worry is that she can not hunt her food floating in the water. I put her food in a glass which is in the tank. So the foods don’t float and she can eat them. But with out that glass it takes 2-3 hours for her to eat her food. It seems like she can not recognize the distance or the right position of things. She keeps on trying to eat with out that glass during she is hungry. But it makes her tired.
Maybe I’m supposed to let her practice hunting. Maybe she has become lazy, or maybe there is a problem with her vision.
Anybody know anything about this?

I am doing more research on suggested websites..but i need more opinions still..thankyou..and DO NOT! post a comment if u havent had personal experiance with iguanas or if u havent owned one. And do not make a comment about the cage in the background of one of the pictures..that is my cockatiels cage! my iguana has a tank! not a bird cage. Some info on my ig. I got it 2 weeks ago. I feed it collard greens, mustard greens, kale, banana, and veggies. I bath it twice daily. and i think part of the reason that it was brown was before its tank was on the floor and my dog would sit by it and im sure it would stress it out so 2 days ago i placed its tank up on my dreeser so now my dog doesnt notice it and my dog is barely in the room anymore. also i use a 100 watt red light now during the day and no lamp at night. and i also use a uvb 5.0 flourecent lamp. 12 hours each day. also please tell me if the brown on it could be buns..i used to use a 150 watt like 2 days ago but i switched 2 the 100.

im thinking no, but im not sure.
many time i see people i know let loose turtle in the wild after they are getting a little too big for a fish tank. these turtle was bought when they were babies. i always wonder if they are incompatible with the surrounding they are let loose on and that more harm than good were done to them. I know that handing it to animal control is the right thing to do but no one listen.
so is there any law for these type of things?

Hey everyone
I have two rats, two hamsters and a small dog. I love them all very much. Now I want a turtle as well. i was just wondering how much attention they need, what the cost would be, what kind of housing and things for fun that they need, also what kind of pets do they make.
Thanks. :)

I've had a snake for about 2 months now, and I still don't have a name for her. She's a corn snake, red in colour, and about 2 feet long. What do you think?

Not to sure how to explain it but I'm pretty sure you know what I'm talking about...when you sorta squeeze (not to hard obviously) the back of the snakes neck, what does it do..does it stun them? Do They get scared and try to bite when you let go? Professional answers only please.
