My bearded dragon is only a few moths old, i was soaking her in a shallow tub, and like outa now where, she gets all poofy, her stomach blows up and stuff, she looked really bad! I took her out of the water, she was barely breathing, i thought she was gonna die... After like twenty seconds, she started breathing like normall again... What is this? Should i not let her soak? i already mist her, but usually i soak her once a week... Any ideas...?

What she did was suck in more oxygen in her lungs to help her float. Beardies may be from a dry region in Australia, but they do get heavy rains and floods. So they become their own life preserver. She was holding her breath so she could float longer, but don't worry, she won't let herself pass out. My dragon routinely swims in a kiddie pool, even diving under water like an alligator and she seems to love this. But continue what you are doing. If she seems to get upset, don't fill the water level so high, make sure she can keep her feet on the bottom of the tub. Mine enjoys a boogie board in the tub and the pool.

Don't stop bathing her...it is very important for shedding and hydration. They typically puff themselves up in the water. Make sure the water stays warm, and is no deeper than her shoulders. A washcloth on the bottom of the tub helps with gripping. They can swim just fine!

Haha! They do that on purpose. Trust me your beardie is ok. Some beardies do that on purpose. Rest assured.
