My wife said that New Zealand has the biggest venomous snake in the world. I told her she's just making it up and I said that the biggest poisonous snake is in Australia and not New Zealand, Am I right or wrong?

I have a red-eared slider and a Reeves turtle in one tank. My slider has been biting my Reeves's tail, and now, part of her tail's skin is bitten off, and it's white and red. First of all, is there anything i can do to help my Reeves? Is her injury serious or will it heal itself? Other than going to the vet (it's expensive, and I don't know if vets help turtles much or not), what solutions do you guys suggest? Secondly, I know that red-eared sliders are territorial, but my parents refuse to get a second cage (not enough room or time to get a second one). Is there anything I can do to help the slider with her territory problem? I'm afraid that if I don't do something soon, my Reeves's tail will get worse.

Also, where is the best place to put turtles? We have the large tank in the kitchen right now where it's easy to wash the tank without moving much, but if we DO get a second tank, we'd need more room. Is there a better place to put the turtles?

Thank you for your help!!!

My dragon is @4-5 inches long. Ive had him for a month. His diet currently is as follows:
breakfast: 15-25 pinhead crickets, lunch: 15-25 pinhead crickets dinner: baby food, (raspberry/ peach, or carrot mango). Once a week I give him greenbean baby food. I give him colored greens once a day. The greens is what he does not like at all. Does any one have any suggestions? Currently I use mustard greens. He ate them once, and wont have anything to do with them anymore. Ive tried to hand feed him. What kind of greens, or veggies could work better? I mist him a couple of times a day, and he has a water bowl. I dust his crickets twice a week with Dragon Dust ICB.

I currently have two red-eared turtles, one is 1 year old, around 7" ,and the second one is just a little baby, like 1 1/2", and I need to donate them because we are not able to afford them and do not have the space for their growing needs. If there is Anyone out there that can help me. I would greatly appreciate it.

the monitor is around 15 inches and of course has a bad temper
(which im still taming him)
i am quite well with reptiles but ive done researching and found out savannah monitors can cause stiches.
i was handling him today, with gardening gloves, when he bit the glove and held onto it for about 2 minutes, not letting it go.
when i finally set him down into his cage, he let go, and i looked at the mark he made. it looked like a row of thumbtack holes poked into a form of his mouth.
how much damage do you think he could actually do to me if he bit me?
he is about a year old now by the way.

My Chinese Water Dragon has not eaten for over a week. He has not had a bowel movement for quite some time. Substrate material in his cage was packed in his mouth. I cleaned it out as best as possible. He is not doing well, and I hope he doesn't die. I do not have the hundreds of dollars to take him to a vet. What can I do to ensure his survival? I have tried several things, such as: keeping him submerged in luke-warm water, using a soft bristled tooth brush to gently clean the sides of his mouth, using a Q-tip soaked in olive oil to attempt to clean and hopefully try to free up the possible forigen body that is perhaps lodged in his intestines. I am desperate to try to keep him alive and get back to good health again. Can you please help me? Advice? Suggestions? I take good care of all my animals and I most definitley would never dream of neglecting any animal. Perhaps there might be some type of laxative that I could give him to help make a bowel movement. Time may be running out!!!

I want a website or a book that talks about them in general. All the turtle books i have are in general terms off all turtles. Quite frankly they only seem to discuss Mississippi map turtles for about one or two paragraphs.

I bought him 2 weeks ago from a local reptile store who said he got him from a guy who captive breeds them. After Ifed him the first night I went to put more water in bowl and he struck at me. I didnt handle him after that for 10 days so he could get familiar with new home. I have fed him again and he eats just fine. He strikes at me a lot though...at the glass,at the screen, and at my hands after he eats or when i handle him. I pick him up and handle him anyways everyday for like 10-15 minutes with gloves on. I never see him go into the "ball" everyone talks about. He just goes into defense stance and strikes. Whats up? is this a lost cause or can I get him to stop after some handling? I thought ball pythons were pretty calm. Not this one! got any advice??

My female bearded has just died and was acting in good health untill minutes before she died. She was only 3yo and kept in good condition (right temp, substrate, etc) then she sort of fitted, had a jet black beard, laboured breathing and within 30mins was dead. Any ideas or suggestion as why this has happened?

I got it and another from a friend who had no time for them the other is a full leopard gecko an in fantastic shape but this one isnt. They were kept together an it was bullied so were put in seperate tanks it is very skinny and had trouble shedding an lots of skin stuck round its head which i think it couldnt see i took advise an got a warm tub thing with moss is which has helped it shed so all skin has gone from its head an now it can see which i think has obviously helped her a lot .I encouraged her to drink with water dropper but she holds no interest in eating i have tried handfeeding her wax worms and crickets but she just turns her face away any advise would be greatly appreciated.Oh no idea what sex she is just say she as shes small.
