I want to get my boyfriend a reptile of some sort for our anniversary. He loves reptiles, but doesn't want a snake because they eat mice/rats (and we love rodents). I thought about getting him a different type of reptile, but as far as I know, they all eat crickets or other insects. I'd rather not give him a pet that needs insects all the time. I'd much rather have a pet that eats fruits and vegetables, or some kind of packaged food (like pellets or flakes). Do you know of any reptile like this?

My son will be 12 just after xmas, and his father and I are looking at getting him a snake. I'm looking for information from someone relatively experienced with them. What type of snake would be a good snake for a beginner? He knows very little about them, other than the fact that he likes them. He has an aquarium setup already, and the space for it ... just lack of information, lol. I've been told a corn snake might be the best way to go, but seldom given information as to WHY. Any information you have is greatly appreciated. :)

I understand that leopard geckos can be quite hardy and do well with stress and nominal neglect. Don't get me wrong, I don't stress out nor neglect my baby, Frida. However, she lives in my classroom, and I am wondering if I should take her home over Thanksgiving break. Will she be okay for 5 days without me? Should I leave her with a handful of crickets and go? Or do I really need to pack her up and take her with me? Please advise!

Please, no idiots answer this like my other post, just people who own snakes and know about them thanks.

I heard there are ways of stopping bitting and scratching to the snake, how is this done?

Is there a organization in Texas that has box turtles adoptions? I would buy one from the store, but I'd love to rescue one if possible.
