I have used rocks for my bearded dragon that my kids found at the beach. If you do this you have to make sure it is cleaned properly. The best way to do this is a strong mixture of bleach and water ,saok the rock for at least 20 minutes. After this rinse the rock in plain hot water.I actually did this several times because We got the rock from the ocean and I wanted to make sure all the salt was removed as well as the bleach fumes.Allow it to dry thoroughly.I would also smell the rock to make sure you can't smell bleach.I do this for store bought items to.you never know if something is carriyng pathogens that could hurt your dragon

Heated rocks can be deadly!
A lot of lizards cannot sense heat from below & severe burns result.
Sandstone or granite is ideal. Rocks need to offer some grip but not have holes or sharp edges.
Terracotta planters can make good hides especially if you can get the ones with a flat back made to hang on a wall.

Any rock hard enough that will not crumble, rough enough that they will not slide off it and stable enought so that it will not fall on to the lizard.
Tuffa rock is too soft, Slate is usually either too sharp or too smooth.
Sand stone is good and so is granite with all the diifernt colours.
Lime stone is usually ok Try to stay away from rocks witth small holes as the crickets tend to hide in the crack then they die and cause bad odours in the vivarium.

if you are looking for a heat sourse then you need a heat pad because heat rocks are very dangerous and can & will burn them very badly. but if you are looking for a bottom cover then the best thing to get is calcium sand, it is the best because if they eat some it will not hurt them at all. i have 2 beardies and i use a heat pad for the bottom heat and a uvb light and a heat light for the top and then i use calcium sand for the bottom. i hope i helped with your question.
