I heard that you should just wash the wound under water. Is there any special product I need?

ANY animal bite that brakes the skin should be treated with a disinfectant and sealed with a band aid or bandage.
Think seriously about a tetanus shot if you have not had one recently.

I know that a lot of people have answered this question but the best answer is a combination of what other people have said.
Be sure that the snake is not venomous! If you are positive that the snake is nonvenomous then clean the bite with soap and water. You should use some sort of antibiotic ointment (like Neosporin) because snakes can carry a lot of bacteria in their mouths. (After all, they bite rats and mice.) Finally, you need to monitor the bite for swelling, itching, or redness. Some people do have an allergic-type reaction to snake bites. If your symptoms get worse then consult a medical doctor.

Wash the bite site thoroughly with an antibacterial soap and water, then apply a topical antibiotic ointment (like Neosporin) and a dry dressing (think Band-Aid). Keep the wound dressing as clean and dry as possible.

You should see your doctor. Even if the snake was non venomous, there is a high risk of bacterial infection, and since the wounds are puncture wounds, the bacteria can be deep below the skin. Until then, wash it thoroughly with an antibacterial soap and bandage it with an antibiotic cream, Good Luck!!

Wash the wound with soap and water. Dry. Apply a small dab of neosporin to the site. It'll be fine, as it's no more than a scratch from a fingernail.

There's not much you have to do, really you dont have to wash it if you dont want to, but i do reccomend doing it. If my spotted python bites, I usually wash my hand using spectrojel, i think that's a canadian product, not sure though. Any antibacterial soap would be fine.

Make sure that it is non-venomous first. then just wash the wound like you would if you just got a cut. I would use Hydrogen peroxide.
just look out for signs that you are allergic to the saliva, it can happen.

You need to disinfect the bite well and make sure you use a band aid and switch it often, each time using antibiotic creme like Neosporin.

If it was a bite from a very strong snake, I'd advise you to see a doctor, but if not just dab it with water and after you've done that put a bandage on it.

Even though I love snakes and would love to have one as a pet ( hubby is scared to death of them) I would wash my hands put a band aid with polysporin on it over the wound then I would chop the snakes head off , skin and fry it up and eat it for lunch!
