I thought it was that a turtle had flippers and a flatter shell and a tortise had 'feet' and a rounder shell, but I could be wrong.

My turtle is a red eared slider. I have fed them for about 4-6 times a day. I feed them fish and pellets. I think they are getting fat. If they grow fat would their shell bigger or would it break? I don't want my turtles to die... :(

Is it a Lizard that thinks it's Jesus? If so , would that be competition for Kanye West? If not , why is it called that ? What does it look like?

*I think this question should be in the Religion/Spirituality category too*

A heathly saltwater crocodile-male
A healthy great white shark-female
i was thinking because many people think a 16 foot saltwater crocodile only weighs about 1000 pounds. But i and some other people like the crocodile hunter thinks it is not true. He said a 16 foot saltwater weighs about 2000 pounds or more. What do u think. because the saltwater crocodile looks much heavier than that.

Ok I have this aquatic turtle since last year, I am keeping it in a recipient big enough for her with a little water. I feed her with turtle food everyday. Her health seems ok.

BUT, recently I have found turtles walking around my backyard which are WAAAAAAAY bigger than her. On spring break I saw a huge ones putting her eggs in a hole, and yesterday I saw another one who was big too, and mine stays tiny and it's been months and months without growing to that proportion.

What's wrong? Is it the recipient were I have her that allows her for getting big?. Or is it the pellets?

I found this big as a frying pan common green/yellow water turtle in a part of town that's not only full of traffic but away from any source of water. He was very dry and libel to get run over... I almost ran him over myself. I took the turtle to the nearest pond and chucked him in. My question is, how did he get in this apartment complex? Could he have walked that far and away from water? Why? My best guess is that some stupid kid or person tried to take him as a pet and changed their mind without being responsible enough to take him back where they found him.

To everyone who answered the question about my baby ballpython, thank you!!! I went out and bought him a heating pad, a red light for at night, a tree (that he staysin all the time now) and he is living on coconut. He ate his mouse yesterday, I think he may have been too cold. The issue is, I went to the store to buy all his stuff and they told me that if you feed him live animals that he will be agressive later. I have small children and while he is not big enough to harm them now, I don't want him to later.

Frozen or Fresh??

My turtle is a red eared slider. It hasn't been moving as much. It has been floating and getting air after a long period of time. The water is clean and is shallow. Is this natural? I have another turtle in the water tank but thats a red eared slider too. They have gotten along. SOMEONE PLEASE RESPOND
